Wenger reportedly wants Oba for 13 million according to Sun.

Seems the logical thing just to offer him a new contract/pay rise that he wants, without the clause. Not great business having to renegotiate after a year but the best choice given the situation the former regime put us in. Id rather we did that than have him play against us in Arsenal colours next season whilst we struggle to find a decent enough replacement. -
Other clubs' transfer deadline day discussion

I rate Benayoun, think he is more of a replacement for Zenden than Garcia though, good move. Although an expensive squad player, but they dont come cheap these days. -

Last I heard, he wanted to stay but wanted a pay rise, if not he would be off. But again that was just paper talk. If we are to sell him anywhere I'd prefer it to be abroad, but doesnt look like we have that choice. -
Such is a footballers life. Its a pisser Toronto is the only canadian team around. Obviously Vancouver is still fighting back though. Like Hockey and NFL the bigger money always looks to be in the states though, so its unlikely any others will spring up.

No need for the tin hat, I would say that is the general feeling in here about Taylor. He has a long way to go, there is just this extreme element in here that either.. a) Hype him up so much he is hailed as world class and should be captain. b) Run him down to being worse than Ramage. Both opinions are destructive to his career. But they are just that, opinions.

Akin to the Chopra post, prefers to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond at this point in time, although in De Rosarios case, I dont think he will make the step up now. Doesnt really help his career or Canadian Soccer, but each to their own, he is entitled to stay where he is happy.

People seem to forget how bramble-esq Sol Campbell and Rio were until they we well into their twenties. I will also add they made more glaring mistakes than Taylor does aswell.

Pongle this proves that you know nothing Because he has an opinion that differs from yours? Jesus on a Jet Ski. take that. http://www.bright.net/~coth/nojet.htm

Bit of both to be fair.

Two guys hooking up each other in a chatroom? It's not that good to have a gay manager seriously, our players will all leave sooner or later. So it might be Sam's secret behind the injury-free Bolton. Its the only way we could snare Matty Taylor for left back....or is that a bit too below the belt?
-
Skype probably.. no expense spared. Although I heard they hooked up in a chatroom.

source Sam place as my Zat Knight comment. Marquez is pure class though. Wouldnt be dissapointed with Boularouz. He was fantastic before Chelsea and offers alot of cover. is that rafael marquez ? isn't he in venezuela at the momemet for the copa america? (mexican isn't he ) and apparently whoever it was had a face to face meet with allardyce over the weekend. Who says Allardyce didnt fly over to Venezuela? NOT that we are getting Marquez though.. but doesnt say where he held the face to face talks.

Use Sir Bobby to get Steve Staunton back, he might pursuade Paul McGrath if we are lucky.

Gudjohnsen is more suited to what Manure need, but Tevez is a different class.

Canada wont be far behind, its by far the most popular inner city sport now and still growing. In the past its been a sport that has only been coached to a certain age and kids then grow out of it, but its much more heavily pushed now all the way up. Not helping that the likes of Hargreaves and De Guzman have decided to play for other nations. But it will only take one or two to stick with Canada to stop that trend. I think the MLS will be where the money is before too long, wouldnt suprise me to see this league finally boom over the next ten years or so.

Legal action by Sheff Wed against fan for message board posting
toontownman replied to BlueStar's topic in Football
Totally depends on what kind of things he had written, for instance if he had launched into names and full details and made false accusations against these people they are well within their rights to protect them. -
Yes please, maybe Rob Jones and Mark Wright aswell?

They could have a field day on here! Its not worth the bother though, im guessing this is more to do with what happened in the box and resulting posts? Must have been pretty damning for them to take serious action. -
I've seen a lot of De Rosario. He is not that good. A Championship player at best. Agreed DeRo is a top player in the MLS, but he would be average in the EPL. Hutchinson would be a great get, imo. I say that mostly because Edgar is making Newcastle popular in Canada, and if Hutchinson comes, maybe the team will play some preseason games over here. I can dream! Tell me about it, I just realised the two weeks Im going back to the UK for a wedding coincides with the international break in October. Gutted.

All too easy to do now we have a new manager aswell.. Lucky for us our new manager will make sure he does all he can to get the best of everyone we have on our books. Including the tea lady-theres a storm a coming.

Not sure where the Zog Will fit into a 4-3-3 if we play it, but has a real chance to stake his claim..he along with Luque should want to make the left hand side spot their own. Down to them though. Moving to Bolton or West Ham would be a step down, certainly wont get alot closer to the first team at West Ham either.

Its early here and I should be doing my job, although pissing around on here is much more fun.
