I'm happy with Big Joe, Bruno and Longstaff/shelvey for deep mids if we could bring someone like Maddison in. It will be nice to free up Bruno further forward but he is also terrific as DM. Having another option to unlock defences is more important to us right now imo. We are likely done this window after Ashby and Gordon so a moot point but we have a couple of days to dream!

Literally no idea on this. Highly rated but has made one 10 minute cameo at the top level. Very low risk for high reward and another home grown is important. Can't complain at some more depth that will likely have re-sale value if he doesn't make it.

My instinctive British negativity. There was patter in the press previously he preferred to wait for the summer and fancied a move to one of those two destinations and those other clubs would be in for him next summer. It will change if we are in the CL. To be fair it will change if we bid for him again now and get close enough to what Leicester want. It's clear he was open to the move in September so I guess he would only be more into it now with our league position?

Could have sworn I saw something about him being ahead of schedule and not far off returning to running/isolated basic training around Christmas about the same time Isak was returning. Must be a figment of my imagination. Can't find anything either. Probably makes sense to bring Ashby in now in that case.

Krafth is nearly back, manquillo is fine as back up. While he is one for the future I'm not convinced ashby is better than either right now. A DM or 3rd striker is more important this window imo. No problems bringing him in now if we get one of those as well. Happier to wait until the summer when he is cheaper if he is going to have to be our sole focus for the rest of the window.

We need at least another DM or Striker on loan imo. If we want to sustain top 4. I'm pretty torn on which. Shelvey coming back imminently is big as it strengthens our depth there if not improving quality. We could likely be OK until the summer. Upfront we are pretty limited if isak or Wilson get injured again. I don't want to take Joe out of midfield and ASM isn't a striker. Gordon can't be expected to play there either. A loan striker that is versatile is probably a better option. If we can't bring our top targets in until the summer I am happy waiting but we have squad room for another player after Gordon and we need a little freshness. Someone eligible for the cup final if we make it would be nice too. We are sat at 24 squad places, including the likes of dummett, Lewis, Fraser, Ritchie, manquillo that might yet depart and a returning Krafth. We have room for more.
