  1. No chance on Parker. He is on very high wages and WHam and getting him would be contrary to existing transfer policy of only buying players with a rising value. Also as Cajun pointed out - he probably would not want to come back.
  2. Is any of this Torres to Chelsea talk I've been reading about real? Or is it just the media smelling blood and wanting to make things more difficult for Benitez?
  3. He is also the best US player coincidentally.
  4. NEVER, mention Carroll and Villa in the same sentence, Carroll is way to big for that I cringe whenever people compare Carroll to Villa...

    Champions League

I really want Internazionale to knock out ManU... not bothered if its the final or not. Just want SAF to once again be beaten by Mourinho.

    I miss Mourinho

Loved him at Porto and wanted him here. He has only proven his worth as a legend since Costinha's winner v Man U in the semis those years back. His arrogance is well earned. Says he learned everything he knows about management from SBR and van Gaal... I can't think of two better mentors for learning the trade.
  7. I also counted them out in the "Other Games" thread. They have got 9 this season (in the league) and missed three. Only in two games does this change the points tally blackpool home and away 3-2 each game. Without them WBA would have dropped four points. I would guess 9 pens is the league record. And yes seven of those nine are from 28 of Dec on and five of those nine are since 30 of Jan so it seems like more... or as I suggested previously its that they have only recently gotten good at cheating after months of practice.
  8. Aye and they were decisive 4-2 with 2 pens. Also it could be argued that any of the pens could have been decisive by changing the nature of the game. I haven't counted but I would bet that 9 penalty decisions is the most in the league. Another reason for why it seems like more - 7 of their penalty decisions have come since their December 28th game against Scunny and 5 since January 30th. They only had 2 before the Scunny game and they missed one (the other came in the 5-0 mauling of Watford). So in other words: they have only recently gotten good at cheating.
  9. I was curious so I just counted (in the League ONLY) WBA have got 9 penalties but three of them were missed (v Ipswich @ Scunny 1 miss 1 in, and @ Plymouth) Of the ones that went in only two games did it matter point wise. Ironically both games were against Blackpool and both had the same scoreline of 3-2 so they must feel agrieved to say the least. So that's 4 points that they have earned through pens. Its not nearly as bad as I thought, but f*ck 'em anyway... c*nts.
  10. F*cking West Brom cheating bastards.
  11. I really want Swansea to score right now... I feel the inevitable WBA penalty coming soon.
  12. Not a chance. Babayaro wasn't even good enough for the Galaxy 2 years ago when their defense was terrible and his best mate Ruud Gullit was the manager. He's finished. I am waiting for 'Boro to hoy him out and further humiliate him.
  13. Aye, what did Napoleon say about that... "Give me a lucky General over a good one any day." (?)
  14. Kadar = the new Nikos Dabizas. Charges out hard on ball, death or glory tackles, overcommitts, 100% effort, etc. Needs to work on his headers.
  15. We are getting battered and leaning so heavily on Simpson and Kadar... they won't hold up.
  16. At least we got the ball out of our half there for a few seconds.
  17. This one form the Daily Mail about our destruction of Barnsley on Saturday: Two words: FUCK YOU! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1255954/Newcastle-6-Barnsley-1-Jonas-Gutierrez-superhero-Toon-run-riot.html I guarantee Bob Cass supports ManU or Liverpool and should be beaten to death with a rubber hose.
  18. Beckham often said he saw himself as a central midfielder. Fair play then. He was never the smartest. I could see hims saying this after he was asked to play there.
  19. tmonkey and johnnypd I don't think it was ever Beckham's plan or desire to play in the middle. That was asked of/forced on him by England and Real Madrid. As a winger he is/was one of the best English ones ever - better as a winger than any of the other options in the middle. I never thought Beckham was a good captain for England and playing a creative central role is not his strength. He also has an amazing workrate (I don't know how people could question this).
  20. ... your point being?
