Full strength XI. I am still irritated about last season's away game. Tonk them 8-0 and leave them crying.

Not worthy of a thread - 2018 FIFA World Cup edition

Brazil and South Africa are both poor and corrupt (more so than Russia) countries with long histories of racism and other transgressions that held fantastic World Cups. I don't understand why moral outrage has suddenly come to forefront for this tournament in particular. I have spent time in Russia and enjoyed myself and plan to be there again in June of next year with my wife to see the preeminent sporting competition in the world. Nigeria and DRC are both top of their groups, and I am desperately hoping both qualify, so we can see our boys in action. That's just the thing Qatar isn't a poor country. It's a very wealthy one that has no excuses in sending thousands of people into slavery and death to build their stadiums. And yeah FIFA has always been corrupt but eventually you have to call it and say "f*ckmthis I've had enough." I am there now. -
11th and a cup semi

I got the 3rd without a sponsor today in the mail and it is lush. The shiny stripes are just a different weave. I was concerned from the Urban Outfitters picture that they actually put black stripes over a black shirt making it look and feel like latex. It is much more subtle than the picture would suggest and much more comfortable. Without the sponsor it looks like it is a national team top... which in a sense it is. For an away top I give it 9/10.

JDT did come good and ended up having a very successful career winning all the big stuff. You already know this. Siem is no JDT

Not listening to the haters. I just bought the 3rd without a sponsor. I will report back when I get it.

I will be supporting a boycott of Qatar. I will not even watch the qualifiers and sign whatever petitions are around. I am on the fence about Russia. -
Fair result and Yedlin is uninjured and soon to return back. I would have preferred a USA win, but I know Arena is pleased.
-
Saucedo is a dirty dirty bastard
-
Yedlin gets a yellow
-
Gonzalez close there
-
You cursed him. DMB now off injured
-
Scotland sure could use Ritchie.

I just checked my collection. I still use these for 5 a sides, and like most on here, I have thrown away loads over the years. The following are still in circulation. NUFC 98/99 (the best IMO) 01/02 01/02 (away) 03/04 (away) 06/07 12/13 (away with Cabaye on back) 14/15 (my own name and 9 on the back... it was a gift) (also various training kits from 96-10, not sure if this counts) Fiorentina 2002 Pachuca 1998 Purple Sanga 2004 Mexico 2009 (away) Mexico 2012 (away) Mexico 2014 (away) PSG 2015 (away, with Cabaye on the back. Also a gift from mum.)

I love ,Beardsley ... as a player, but has done FA as an academy/reserves coach and in fact has been a failure. I'd rather get someone brought in by Rafa. Give it to Cathro, he'll be sacked soon enough by Hearts.

Madras: so where do you stand on "... the folks along the road..." is it "starrin'" or "standin'" ?
-
That was certainly a yellow
-
Up until that point we were playing well. I think this could still change in our favor.
-
I did not get the Warren Barton joke, but then I didn't watch the Oscars either. Can anyone explain?
-
This has been terrible. Villa killing us here.
-
Gayle will be back. We will play better.
-
Now that I think about it, if NUFC put the flag of Northumberland on their kit and got rid of the current sponsor... I would probably buy ten.
-
Well tbf, it's actually the flag of the city of Portland. Good call. The Cascadia flag has the same colors but a tree silhouette. I was confused
-
I like the Timbers kit is great. Love the Cascadia flag at the bottom. I notice Vancouver opted against it.

I loved Duncan pretending he had horns coming out of his head ... had to be dragged back from the Roma team by Speed and Shearer. Those results were harsh on us.
