  1. He wanted the transfer and said his family couldn’t settle in the North or some shit and then went to Liverpool and won a bunch of trophies. Bastard. I also remember Inhoped he would break his leg and he was actually injured at the start of his career there IIRC
  2. The booze is kicking in. Now I want to win this. Fuck Ashley, fuck the Spurs, fuck everyone, just fucking win. Geordie boot boys is now stuck in my head.
  3. At this point I am expecting us to sell Lascelles on the last day of the last day of the window for silly money with no replacement or at best some random 3m defender from an established Champo team. All in all a transfer balance of positive 60 million or so.
  4. 25 Today. I also learned on .COM that he has 30 goals from 100 appearances in the league. Better than I thought.
  5. I am thinking we get Curbishly this next season. Maybe a tad too young an innovative for Ashley, but the FCB will make it worth his time. In Ashley's mind, Curbs has only been out of the game around a decade and has never set foot outside of London: Perfect.
  6. The fact that the stadiums were built by slave labour and thousands of their lives... no football culture... corrupt AF purchase... more money for FIFA... and we have this change in time which they said they wouldn't need. Honestly the time change is the least of the problems with it. FIFA is evil and this WC in particular is. Its all just too much. Ideally we would send everyone in FIFA to prison and give the 2022 WC to Australia or Morocco.
  7. Fuuuuuuck...the first two games of the season now KO at 4:30 AM California time. I hate that.
  8. I would rather he stay. Has the right mentality, which as we have seen over the years is rare. Also if he leaves, who takes our pens? Ayoze and Shelvey?
  9. ...And that we are trading Ritchie for a player, that *might* be better than Gayle, who we are also selling. Good times.
  10. Ernie Stewart has been named as manager of USMNT. What. The. Fuck. I was going to boycott Qatar anyway

I have been watching a fair number of games this season (and even went to both Providence Park in Portland and the dreadful Stub-Hub Arena in Dominguez Hills to watch live games) and I am calling this now: Timbers vs Atlanta in the final with Atlanta to win it.
  12. In one of his latest interviews he said something about his great grandafther flying planes in WWII. Like a lot of folks the tattoos honor his ancestors and family - jewish war heroes fighting nazis, native americans struggling against colonialism, and some other historical stuff that covers his pretty varied and interesting ethnic mix.
  13. I have us finishing at 36 points. 5 at home and 5 away from our remaining fixtures. 18th and down. Unless we can get a shock win at home to Chelsea, then 39 but maybe not enough.
  14. Imagine that German shirt in dark grey, brighten the white up a bit with silver highlights. Yeah, exactly.
  15. Cuba- where is this pub? Asking for a friend.
  16. Good. As a USA supporter I see this as a silver lining. F*ck Fox, F*ck the Murdocks, and F*ck FIFA. This makes things easier for me as I won't care about the WC until 2026 at the earliest.
  17. So ideally we want WHam to win every game from now until we play them away. I wish the best for them, I really do.
  18. Full strength XI. I am still irritated about last season's away game. Tonk them 8-0 and leave them crying.
  19. Brazil and South Africa are both poor and corrupt (more so than Russia) countries with long histories of racism and other transgressions that held fantastic World Cups. I don't understand why moral outrage has suddenly come to forefront for this tournament in particular. I have spent time in Russia and enjoyed myself and plan to be there again in June of next year with my wife to see the preeminent sporting competition in the world. Nigeria and DRC are both top of their groups, and I am desperately hoping both qualify, so we can see our boys in action. That's just the thing Qatar isn't a poor country. It's a very wealthy one that has no excuses in sending thousands of people into slavery and death to build their stadiums. And yeah FIFA has always been corrupt but eventually you have to call it and say "f*ckmthis I've had enough." I am there now.
  20. I got the 3rd without a sponsor today in the mail and it is lush. The shiny stripes are just a different weave. I was concerned from the Urban Outfitters picture that they actually put black stripes over a black shirt making it look and feel like latex. It is much more subtle than the picture would suggest and much more comfortable. Without the sponsor it looks like it is a national team top... which in a sense it is. For an away top I give it 9/10.
