  1. at the Nolan picture. Colo was a beast today, the guy is really immense at the moment. I've been so impressed with him all last season and obviously this. I didn't get too excited after last season because the quality of opposition was alot worse, but he still played to a high standard, but this season he has kept up the top performances. All the defence have really. I worried about lack of pace with Colo and Williamson but that has yet to be really exposed. Don't need to say anything about Enrique, he is just the bollox. Again impressed with Simpson, his performances seem a step above last season, though I am aware that could be due to the contrast between him and Perch. Barton will probably get slaughtered in the press for saying he thought we would win. Well done Chris awell, so dignified in his sky interview. I am glad we have given him a chance. Glad to see he is not too pig headed to stay with his original plan. He changed it last season and has done so again this season all for the better. Tiote is a man beast, the guy will be a cult favourite for years to come if he keeps this up. Can't think of too many other players I'd like to see in our team doing his kind of role in the Premier League.
  2. I know I have a little bit of a hangover but for a moment I thought I was on the wrong website, I was sure I was reading Literotica the celebrities section. Fuck me, can't believe this shit gets printed.
  3. Regarding the comment about him being one paced, I certainley thought that of him last season, but from what I've seen this season he seems to have a few gears, and to me he seems quicker than last season. Against Sunderland when he picked the ball up in his own half and turned and run at the defence he seemed to chance to a quicker pace for me. Okay he is not lightening but for a guy his size he moves very well and that has improved this season compared to last.
  4. I'm just worried that a good team maybe able to exploit us down the right, Barton is great going forward from that position but think Simpson would come under a lot of pressure against the better teams. But against West Ham and Sunderland we have been impressive and along with the Villa game they have been our best games so I see no reason not to have a go at Arsenal with it. Nolan seems to be thriving on it as well as the fact that Carroll has back up for when he wins flick on's and stuff.
  5. Fat Freddie denies the rumours = Good Having difficulty believing a word that fat bastard says = Bad I hope its not true, we seem to be hitting a bit of stability, this kind of speculation is not good for us. I know we can't trust the media but it was nice on SSN this morning the chief sports editor from NOTW (forget his name now but I know him as Mr Cunt) was saying how much unity there was at our club compared to Man City and used Nolans 1st goal celebration as an illustration, normally there is so much negative shit about us it is good to hear good things.
  6. I remember the crazy running thing, I was fully expecting him to bouce Obinna to the moon but that boy was a beast because he bounced Tiote. Tiote is immense, a very important part of our team, hope his good form continues.
  7. I'm just surprised he doesn't have to stay with Wor Joey. Now that would be fun!

    De Jong

I know its not for a tackle but didn't the Italian FA ban Gillardinho (sp?) for 3 games after video evidence showed him score a late winner in a league match with his hand? If the Italian FA can do this obviously Fifa cannot block it so it is really up to whether the FA deem it as something they can do. As pointed out on numerous occassions they were able to go back to the Ben Thatcher incident which didn't involve a player being out of the game for 6 months, as horredous that challenge was Mendes was only out for that game and the game after wasn't he, very luck considering the impact.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Thats a bad challenge and that wanker Pleat is just dismissing it. Poor. Get well soon HBA!!!

    Hatem Ben Arfa

After the big build up on here I was expecting a little bit of a let down, but he was excellent when he came on against Blackpool and awesome v Everton. He won't be able to play to that standard every game and I am sure most on here will understand that. I can't wait to see him this afternoon even if it is on TV, so far all I have seen are crappy MOTD highlights and I am sure they would not have done him justice.
  11. Just read the article on .com, the guy is a great servant to the club. We all know he is not the greatest keeper around but he is a very good one and seems a great person too. Saying things like I'm 36 and you'll get a chance soon to Krul is being a great pro. He knows he can't go on forever, Krul seems to have some real quality about him and wants to play 1st team football. I hope he recovers quickly. I am hoping Krul has the quality that we think he has and this is a perfect challenge for him. He comes through this and he should be our number 1 for years unless one of the big 4/5 etc grab him from us. Get well soon Harps

    Shola Ameobi

As well as Shola goal played the other night, we should start with the same team that beat Everton with Krul replacing Harper obviously. We certainley shouldn't change formation to accomodate one good performance.
  13. My biggest error in judgement was thinking Souness would turn things around, how WRONG was I. I thought Bellamy would be crap - obviously wrong again Bassedas - Thought he would be quality Robert - I was chuffed when he signed really thought he was the bees knees and turned out real good.
  14. Dare I say it that game was very keegan-esq era. Brilliant with out reserves as well.

    Premiership XI

Schemicheal Neville Ferdinand Adams Irwin Vieira Keane Scholes Ronaldo Henry Shearer I would like to find places for Desailly, A.Cole, Gerrard, Essien, Giggs, Zola, Bergkamp & Drogba but can only pick 11
  16. I have never liked Toshack, especially after he walked after a 3-0 defeat during his first appointment as manager. There is no Welsh manager that sticks out as a good candidate. I don't think Coleman is International material. Speed would have been an obvious choice but has now taken the job at Sheff Utd. I think it would have to be a foreign manager, I think there is more this Welsh team can offer to be honest, I don't think the team is ready to qualify for a major competition but can do better than they are doing. Its just a pity we didn't get through that playoff V Russia. After going out to Russia and drawing 0-0 we were in pole position but Mark Hughes bottled the home leg with his negative tactics. I think we are ready for a change, but who is another matter.
  17. Shearer's goal against Man Utd in the 5-0 still gives me chills along with Albert'. "Beardsley, Ferdinand, Shearer - of course"
  18. Fuck there's me expecting to log on for a transfer bonanza, Keane, Boyata, Wolfio, Emerton, Kuyt, Colin Hendry and I get this horseshit!
  19. Relegation is never a good thing but in our case by some weird twist of fate it aided our recovery. I think we got lucky, the Championship was poor and we had some low expectations given the shit we went through in the Premiership. Our transfer dealings seem good and I am slightly optimistic about the season ahead, just waiting for it to come crashing down probably when Carroll goes to jail in October. Hope not.
