Honestly...... he is not half the player he was at his pomp at Newcastle you couldn't even say he has been a success anywhere else in comparison not too dissimilar to Laurent Robert in that respect. He used to be so quick off the mark watching him now he looks to have lost a great deal of that explosive pace due to injuries I wouldn't dispute him however having improved with more intelligent runs but not a chance is he as destructive to defenses with his pace down the side of defenders as he used to be. LOL. He was superb at Celtic and Blackburn. Poor at L'pool and consistently injured at West Ham. He fucked up at L'pool granted with the Riise shit but the next game they both scored against Barcelona, away I think.

In a 5 man midfield (okay 3 central midfielders) Sissoko is brilliant. But he can't operate with just one other CM, his passing becomes exposed. Diarra is great at what he does. Dissapointed we didn't sign him or Muntari when they where available. Shouuld've stayed at Arsenal really, would've come through superbly as last season went on.

I think he dummied it because of the injury. Brilliantly done though.

Haven't watched too much La Liga this season but he was tremendous at the EURO's.

The littleman usually has some pace.

Whilst I think Rooney has a little more class than Tevez and is probably the better player his petulance would lead me too believe he couldn't drag a team away from relegation.

I don't think Zog is that good but he's far better than Duff. And that is whats bothering me.

They are both s*** at defending. Huddlestone is getting worse by the year & Zakora has never impressed. First window watch Arry go & sign a 6ft+ african ball winner. Pint pot Modric could not control a Premier League game from deep, he would be about as good as Veron was. Diarra might do. Interesting to see what happens to Defoe.

Downing was pretty good last season.. seemed to score frequently but for the formation England play Young would be far better.

I actually think Geremi will be very important this year. The man can deliver a good ball unlike the majority of the midfield. I'd keep him in the team and drop Duff/Charles for Jonas.

When Geremi is the main source of drive and creativity in midfield and Nicky Butt plays week in week out, you're in big trouble. Probably one of the worst midfield we've had for any semi-long period of time in the Premiership years.

Do teams aim their punts and long balls towards him or is it him and Taylor that decides who goes for them? Or who they are marking? I remember when we had Bramble and Woodgate, it would always be Titus who would go for the aerial challenges and it worked. I thought it was done intentionally as Titus was very strong in the air and Woodgate had the positioing to sweep up the mess Titus would inevitably make sooner or later.
