  1. I don't think Zog is that good but he's far better than Duff. And that is whats bothering me.
  2. I have no time for Damien Duff. He's a shit footballer living off past glory. Used to be one of the best players in the Premiership and now he's shit and I don't even think he's 30. I know i'm not answering the question.
  3. Storm in a teacup imo on this board. He shouldn't have done it, got a rightful ban but it doesn't really add to me disliking the cunt even more. It's not much of a big deal.
  4. The lack of athleticism is fairly crippling at this point. I like him though, he keeps the ball better than most.
  5. They are both s*** at defending. Huddlestone is getting worse by the year & Zakora has never impressed. First window watch Arry go & sign a 6ft+ african ball winner. Pint pot Modric could not control a Premier League game from deep, he would be about as good as Veron was. Diarra might do. Interesting to see what happens to Defoe.
  6. Downing was pretty good last season.. seemed to score frequently but for the formation England play Young would be far better.
  7. I actually think Geremi will be very important this year. The man can deliver a good ball unlike the majority of the midfield. I'd keep him in the team and drop Duff/Charles for Jonas.
  8. When Geremi is the main source of drive and creativity in midfield and Nicky Butt plays week in week out, you're in big trouble. Probably one of the worst midfield we've had for any semi-long period of time in the Premiership years.
  9. Oh & Joey Barton is simply a disgusting human being. I don't think we have a least favourite NUFC player thread so i'll say it hear. What I find funny is I really disliked RvN when he was at Man Utd. he leaves and suddenly becomes one of my favourite strikers. Reminds me of Shearer.
  10. Because he's a cunt? So many cunts have come & gone but i'll go for my current 1 & 2. John terrry & Jamie carragher
  11. Do teams aim their punts and long balls towards him or is it him and Taylor that decides who goes for them? Or who they are marking? I remember when we had Bramble and Woodgate, it would always be Titus who would go for the aerial challenges and it worked. I thought it was done intentionally as Titus was very strong in the air and Woodgate had the positioing to sweep up the mess Titus would inevitably make sooner or later.
  12. Didn'y he provide the most assists for us last season, 6 i think? But aye his legs are knackered.
  13. By giving Keegan a paltry £12 million summer transfer budget? We were still making a loss. He was trying to "balance the books".
  14. Why would we need to sell Barton (and get what, 3 mil?) to fund Schweinsteiger when we already made a net profit this transfer window? Wage budget. Schweinsteiger would be another 40k at the very least.
  15. Silly comparison tbh. Care to explain why?
  16. He reminds me of a very young Flamini. Tidy as hell, rarely looses the ball and technically very sound. Except we might have to use him as if he's Fabregas.
  17. Nope, a fair few though. Hopefully Xisco is a Heskey/youngfitViduka hybrid.
  18. He has something like 5 goals in 50 caps. It's hard to be under-rated with stats like that. Good team player no doubt. I think he provides something good to the team.....considering he is by far inferior in ability to the likes of Rooney. He basically ran the front line tonight for England, and ran his socks off. He gave his all and did well as a target man, causing a good Croatia a lot of problems. I personally feel he is made a scapegoat and is similar to the likes of Ameobi as far as stick is concerned. He gets a lot more grief than he actually deserves, and does a decent enough job "causing problems" even if he isn't very prolific at all. Oh no doubt I agree that he played well tonight and has often played well in an England shirt. And i agree when the chips are down he is made a scapegoat out of. But when Darius Vassell has scored more goals for England you can hardly call him under-rated as I doubt many strikers have 48 caps and counting with 5 goals.
