They seem to be basing the story on this:

Good article. Although I have to laugh at someone who spends time writing for a fanzine calling message boards the 'home of the lonely'.
-
Did he not say when he left that the pain of defeat was starting to get stronger than the joy of victory? Im sure he mentioned the look on the Spurs managers face after we howked them 7-1 a few weeks earlier.
-
When I'm old, I'm going to look old and saggy anyway, so who gives a s***? Exactly. I havent got one yet, but im thinking about getting 'United' done in another style of writting. Something like Arabic or Hebrew. Whichever one looks best.
-
this is very true. some of the worst stuff ive seen. The Derby and Wigan away debacles not too mention the stuff served up at home. That was my fault. They were the only two away games I went to during his management.
-
By writing off the loan he's just making the club more attractive for someone to buy. I doubt anyone would be interested in the club if the loan was still to be paid back. Ashley doesnt really have much choice.
-
Im getting a top and that lettering looks class. Only think is I need us to have a player confirmed for next season.
-
The fat bastard hasnt learnt from any of his mistakes. He blames everyone else whenever he's interviewed. I would hate to see him back. Unfortunatly i can see only pain ahead. Even if we do end up with a brand new arab buying the club, no doubt we would get the most useless fuckin arab going. If we were to get an American owner, he wouldnt be a Randy Lerner, it would be some fat shit clueless American. The worst American owner going.

Whereas the papers have talked alot of shit, mainly about the fans, they have a worrying habit of at least partly being right when it comes to stories like this.

Terrible timing. All my optimism from last week has gone. Even if it takes a month to sell the club we will be feeding off Championship scraps for players. And I can't belive some people are wanting Shepherd and Keegan back. Shepherd isnt the only person who can manage a football club, and Keegan isnt the only alternative to Shearer. Fuckin hell! Get a grip.
-
Ive not got one and won't get one. Will only get one when I know I will struggle to get to every game because of demand. I prefere to pick and choose where I sit game to game. I know someone with a season ticket who doesnt go to away games and will apply for me. So at the moment, I don't really have any need for a season ticket.
-
I will be gutted to see him go if he does go. Has been getting better and better this season despite the teams overall form. He shows he cares as well. Im chuffed we will be getting rid of some of our dross, but on the other hand will be gutted his players like Enrique have to leave.
-
Probably because we never replaced him. Good list though, although I think some of the clubs would be demanding more money than what they say on there. I think we should go for James McCarthy too, assuming he hasnt signed for Celtic yet.
-
So it's not a rule. I guess we'll find out if it applies to us but as things stand we're in at round one. Ah right. Cheers. I was starting to feel stupid as im sure I can remember relegated clubs given a bye. That must have been why then.
-
Must have changed then.
-
Does the team who finished 3rd bottom not still get a bye from the 1st Round of the League Cup?

Why do people love talking about size of clubs? It means nothing on the pitch as is proven at the moment. There are loads of clubs in our new division who could claim to be bigger than the likes of Bolton, Wigan, Hull, Fulham, Burnley and Stoke, but at the end of the day it means fuck all. For me, there are real clubs and plastic clubs. We are a real club. I would rather support this club in the Conference than some plastic club like Wigan in the Premier League. Now lets accept where we are, stay United and get on with the fuckin job. Feeling sorry for ourselves won't do any good, and the vast majority of reaction on here since Sunday has been class!
-
No. Not at the moment. There arnt many weeks until the start of the season and theres ALOT of work to do. If something happens during the season then so be it, but it would be a disaster if it happened now and we were left standing still for a month or two.
-
We arnt going to just be able to snap up Sheffield United's best players though. Better looking for stars at clubs lower down the league.
-
Can't wait for some of these away games next season. Just hopes its not too hard to get tickets. Have my heart set on Peterborough, Sheff Wed and Barnsley.
-
They have to when you think about it. The season is only 8-9 weeks away and we can't fuck around until the end of August to sign players this year. As soon as Shearer is appointed (hopefully) they need to get to work straight away. Thankfully Dowie will know quite a bit about the Championship.
-
I agree with this. Whats been has been. We need to all stay United and help turn this club around again. Getting the fans 100% behind the club is the only way forward. We need to stop being bitter, stop feeling sorry for ourselves and get behind our new team and Shearer as manager. It might take time, but we have to give it time. I hate whats happened the past 2-5 years, but line in the sand time.
