Why would Doncaster or Bristol City attract more? Because they're better supported clubs. Blackpool average gate is about 7,000. And also, Dave's stats are wrong. I understand that. But why would Blackpool v Plymouth or Blackpool v Doncaster attract a bigger crowd than Blackpool v Preston. Seems pretty obvious the stats are wrong, you're right.

I have been shocked by the reactions. The people I expected to be going mental and winding toon fans up have been pretty quiet, whereas the most abuse ive had is off two Blackburn fans. Even my Mackem mates havent said much, despite going into overdrive after the derby in October.

I looked on one of their forums when he came back and opinion was mixed between promising and meh. Carroll didn't pull up any trees at this level either. Yeah, I remember Carroll have a pretty poor time of it, but he was quite young when he went to Preston and was acting like a prick from what I remember. Hopefully he's matured a bit. We really need to sign an experienced Championship striker who will do a job for us and get us 15-20 goals at least over the 46 games.

Think we will see alot of them being given a chance, but they need to be merged into a first team rather than thrown straight into the deep end. Did anyone pay much attention to how Lua Lua did at this level with Doncaster? I had heard the Guthrie was brilliant for Southampton as well. Unfortunatly Shola was shite for Stoke. Well we will have to sign some players. We can't just sit around feel sorry for ourselves and moan all summer. The sooner we accept our relegation, get rid of our high earners and start preparing for next year the better.

Agree. Harper just isnt very good. It was highly annoying when he kept paniced yesterday a few times and just put us straight under pressure again. He did it at Liverpool and Bolton as well. Just keep hold of the ball for a bit ffs! I think Krul should be our keeper next season.

Its pointless even typing out a starting line up. There will be loads of new players no doubt, and there needs to be. We can't be arrogant about who we go and sign and need to get players who will get us out of the division. If someone like fat Jon Parkin will do a job for us then we need to sign him without being arrogant. Not saying we should sign him, but just an example.

Blaming one person would be stupid. Loads of people have fucked this club up and havent done their jobs correctly. It could have been turned round on a number of occasions though, but the wrong decision has been made again and again. Overall though, it has to be Mike Ashley. The mismanagement this season alone has been staggering. Someone with half a brain could have kept us in this league by make the correct management decisions.

I know quite a few will be going, but theres only 3000 tickets, so for those not going, where will you be watching it? I suppose the main options will be at home and by yourself, or at the pub with your mates. Thought about staying at home and locking myself away, but ive changed my mind and will now watch it in the local in Tweedmouth. There should be plenty toon fans there, but I expect a few mackems and some Liverpool and Man Utd glory hunters ready to ridicule our failure. If we survive, it will be the best Bank Holiday ever, if we don't then it will be one shit night. What are others doing?

Think we would struggle to tbh. I think West Brom and Boro will be better equipped in that the majority of their players will stay and they won't have as much of a turn around as us. I would also expect the Welsh team to be up there. I also think we should hope for Sheffield United to win the playoffs as I would expect them to be stronger next season than Burnley. I hope our crowd don't get frustrated if we're struggling in around midtable early season. We will need to adapt and then hope to push on when we are used to the level and have settled as a team. Then push for the playoffs. Obviously if we go down and start winning straight away, ignore the above, but at the moment I can't see it.

Boyd would be awful in the Premiership I reckon. Hardly moves until he gets the ball. Great finisher against the shite teams, but thats about it.

People keep telling me I assume we will beat Boro. I don't though, im just chuffed its in our hands again. We beat Boro, we're out the relegation zone. In our own hands now. Plus, theres nothing wrong with a bit of confidence. Without confidence our teams stand no chance.
