There were some f***ing excellent crosses against Blackburn, the crossing wasn't the problem, the players in the box were. From the FB'S not the Wingers from waht i remember/ Albeit in a drunken state Jonas in particular between the byline and 10 yards out Its still wing play no matter who is comes from Ok, I know what you mean now anyway. Still think the problem with lack of chances was up front, not the supply though.

There were some fucking excellent crosses against Blackburn, the crossing wasn't the problem, the players in the box were.

How can shit crossing make Carr look like Cafu?
-
Where does he say when the Carroll deal was actually agreed? Also where's the info on £30m being up front?, sorry I just haven't look at this thread for a while.

LFC's owner has already confirmed the deal was done 24 hours before Ashley 'accepted' Carrolls request and reluctantly accepted LFC's bid. LFC's owner knew the price Chelsea would need to pay for Torres would be £15m more than NUFC wanted for Carroll so they could balance the books with the £6m they made off the other centre forward they sold (who's name escapes me) Carroll and the bloke from Holland for torres. Link?

Don't think player sales effect turnover, they'll be seen in cash flow. Our wage bill isn't massive any more, though obviously its still going to take up over 50% of our turnover. That £30m will probably have covered the wages we've paid to players so far this financial year. So its hard to say what the clubs bank account currently looks like, really depends when we receive the TV money (have we or is that the end of the season?). Either way its safe to say that by the end of the financial year we should be well out of the red.

2-1 to Newcastle.

Yeah, in a way its even worse. Our problem was over-spending, their problem is they just don't generate enough cash. I'm not really sure how they can fix that.

As far as defending went Woodgate didn't have any real weaknesses, however he did/does have massive weaknesses in his body. Unlike Coloccini, who seems to be made out of the same stuff the Terminator was made out of

Thank you. Wow there was a lot of change. Mackems, hull, us went from 11,12,13 to 16,17,18. Spurs from 16th to 8th! Worryingly, we were only 1 point closer to relegation than we are now. Also, Steve Bruce's Wigan were 7th, but finished 11th. While that table is for the corresponding 2009 date, the number of games played is quite different. This is a more comparable table: http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2008-2009/table/2009-03-01

He's not actually a smoggie reject, he rejected them.

At home we do, but not away, which is quite odd. Our record against Blackburn in our last 5 seasons in the Premiership (not including this one as we haven't played twice yet) is: Home - Win - 1 - Draw - 0 - Loss - 4 Away - Win - 2 - Draw - 1 - Loss - 2 We've continued our terrible record at home against Blackburn this season, lets hope our away record continues as well and we'll have a good chance.

HERP? http://i52.tinypic.com/33adj48.jpg Did we sign Thom Yorke?
-
it happens with every player, if enough is offered for him it will be accepted......think ronaldo at man utd or even torres. don't see why we should be exempt. It's more along the lines of temptation to accept a big fee though, as opposed to having to accept a big fee, or any fee at all for that matter. Yes it happens in football but it's always up to the selling club if they want to sell or not. If a player signs a contract then he should be honouring it until told otherwise. They should honour it, but they very rarely do, which is why its not really as simple as you're making out.

What questions was Pardew asked?, always get missed out of these kind of quotes

Incorrect. 1 goal and 2 assists in 24 appearances isn't good enough for a winger. He just runs with the ball straight into his opponents, doesn't even try to take it past them and can't cross or shoot a ball to save his life. I fail to see the point in him Doesn't score or assist enough, and his crossing is poor, but lets not go stupidly over the top ok?
-
Er, well, you've just lost your best player permanently. If that doesn't/didn't have any sort of impact on the team then blimey, you've got a hell of a team spirit and mentality. Very debatable that he was our best player like. He was also already missing from the last four matches and expected to be missing for the next 3 weeks. Could still have an effect, but it won't be the same as if he was expected to play.
-
It would be a good point though.
-
Some people on here don't seem to realise that most of the teams down their get between 0.5 and 1 point per game on average. Also we already have a game in hand.
-
That would be because "The side that won the Championship" is a generalisation which doesn't take into account injuries or suspensions. While tonight is an actual game, which does. And because nothing has been invested in a side which needed it. I must have imagined Tiote, Ben Arfa and Gosling.
-
EXACTLY! And despite me saying on here the other day that this is a "must win game" various people decided I was ludicrous to suggest this. I know things have changed since then but my original point is that if we lose this game and then the next one or two to follow we could see ourselves amongst the bottom dwellers and up against it. That for me hasn't changed due to recent circumstances and this is still a must win game. In fact every game we play now until survival is certain is must win in my opinion. Its just nowhere near a must win game.
