If we were to create a Newcastle best games collection

My first away game. ??? -
Scored a great volley from the edge of the box in a preseason friendly at Birmingham. Felt we had a great signing on our hands, ruined by the loss of Shearer. Not sure if that also turned out to be Beardsley and Ferdinand's last game.

New Year’s Day 1973 v Leicester was my first match and straight away there was a massive buzz whenever Supermac got the ball. He’s the first one for me. ? Non NUFC 10 years prior as a kid watching South Shields and Len Smith was the man then. ?

Maybe just a case of an owner getting too involved in the football side, which appears to have backfired.

That was the puzzling thing. He had them second, two points behind the leaders. Think it might have been Matlock at that time but since then they’ve allowed Buxton to catch up and overtake. Surprised he hasn’t surfaced somewhere else in the meantime. ?

Was there any word as to why Fenton was removed? Fenton had them in a good position and at least his team was able to hold onto a lead. Quite a few matches since Phillips took over where the conceded and gave up winning positions, and that has cost them hugely.

Even back then, sunderland at the bottom. Strongest team in the league, holding everyone up. ? -
Everton to ask why Matip challenge on Gordon was not given as penalty in Merseyside derby https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61213710 May as well give them a direct line to PGMOL. ?

No doubt for me. just had to be lucky enough to be there. Second would be David Kelly against Portsmouth because of the sheer importance of the occasion. ?

Exactly For the official NUFC feedI find if I go to the club website and scroll to the bottom of the home page and select the Twitter icon, tend to let me scroll down a lot further. ? -

Every time I look at that picture, the blokies heed in front makes it look like he’s holding a ball. ? -

What’s the situation with the shirt sponsorship by 3? Thought I’d read that 3 wanted their logo removed immediately yet it still remains. ?

Flags show up well here. ? -
My first match was home to Leicester City on New Year’s Day 1973 and in those days Supermac was partnered with Hallelujah John Tudor. Good days even though we won nothing. Macdonald was so fast, strong and could score with either foot and powerful header of the ball. Weaknesses? Was bandy-legged and in the 3-3 draw at Bolton in the cup, might have blocked the Bolton equaliser if his legs had been straight. ???

Thanks so much for these. The videos in those days were really well done. Really appreciated. ??

Also remember watching the away match at Liverpool at the City Hall. Great times. ?

His aim was unreal. ?

Works at our place. All to no avail though. ?
