If you play football you'll know what I'm talking about: You are drained of energy and you are drained of focus. It is extremely dificult to maintain a standard of play in the second half if your fitness isn't right, you are late to tackles, your passes lack the right energy, confidence drains and everything seems a struggle. FITNESS IS HUGELY IMPORTANT (see Man Utd for their fitness and how they poach goals/games in the second half).

Geremi COULD be played at right back or defensive centre midfield: Butt is better in my opinion. Geremi SHOULDN'T be played at right midfield ' cos he's been shiite there since day one (excludes preseason).

Yes, I also think that Beye is a better right back than geremi, BUT, I think that Enrique isn't ready to play left back for us, needs time when we need instant results. Just think we couyld be a bit more solid on both sides with Geremi on the right and beye on the left, if he's capable of playing there of course...

Has anyone else watched Cameroon play and be impressed by Geremi on the right hand side of defence... He really is far better in this position than in midfield, hardly put a foot wrong and made so many great overlapping runs and decent crosses into the box whilst they were on the attack. perhaps we could start with a new defence like this: Geremi----Faye---Taylor--- Beye (better than enrique and zog, has pace to cover any mistakes)

Why not play Nzogbia next to butt in the middle, would add guile and guts and perhaps we would be able to move the ball around a bit better. Milner---Butt---Zog---Duff ---------Owen---Martins-- Have owen and martins up front 'cos smith is teargas and bring viduka on for ten minutes at the end if he can be arsed... The defence: just play Faye on his own, another three would just complicate things!!

TBH the press have had it fairly easy with us for the last couple of years; comical appointments, infighting, bad results and the deluded masses thinking we'll break the top four at any moment (probably include myself at one point). I do think they( the press) have been unfair since Ashley has been in charge, it seems to me that Ashley and co. are setting up a business model to better Newcastle United whilst at the same time they should start making dollars from us. I don't know if it's just me but from what I've seen of Enrique at the back he doesn't convince me at all (all games on the telly like!)... I would just about prefer to keep the zog there until he finds his feet. My main gripes about him are: He seems really slow, easily turned and his passes (apart from the long diagonal) are average. I know he's just a lad and I think he might come good but I honestly prefer the positionally suspect Zog to our enrique at the moment... Your comments

They are pretty happy with him in Sociedad, took the team up the table and developed the youth system. Just fell out with the new owners as they had different ideas on who should play and what goes on... Nothing toi do with drink!!
