  1. Had a couple of days to calm down, here is my take on saturday: Target and Burn were very pedestrian in their passing and moving into space positions which opened in front of them. target had a poor game overall, hardly got up the pitch and seemed shaky defensively. I think Botman would have been better for this game when the team in front plays a mid-low block. His passing is also quicker and more precise than dan´s. Bruno was totally off the pace for me, can´t replace him but just hope he gets back on it in a couple of weeks time. Big Joe was also off the pace and everything he tried seemed to fizzle out and even his tackling heading wasn´t great. Joe willock played his heart out and for me deserved more out of the game. he perhaps isn´t the creative outlet we all desire but his pressing, forward runs into space and on the ball play on saturday were top level. having said the above, and with not much help from the overlapping (or not) full backs, we were very pedestrian! Add to this miggy and fraser who tried hard, but aren´t top six level, then we get what we deserved... basically no threat on goal. Feel sorry for Isak, no service at all. We were very ordinary on staurday against a very ordinary Bournemouth! The last 20 mins saw the panick set in and silly long balls and shots from the halfway line. Not good. Though Eddie´s subs were crap. it should have been Woods isak and anderson up front (all at once). We are two or three good windows away from being a real threat to the top seven. On current form I think we will be happy with top half this year. Maxi, come on mate, get fit soon!!!
  2. Don´t like pawson much. hope the VAR boys have more than two nuerons between them (see previous amoebas in charge)
  3. Yep, I like miggy instead of willock, just not sure he is disciplined enough. Sometimes seems like his pressing is chicken without a head at times?
  4. I think valverde is the best player in that team, on and off the ball he never puts a foot wrong. brilliant player! It´s still funny how both Modric and Kroos still get a huge amount of game time...
  5. Yeh, sorry for the rant, but I just don´t see where the interest comes from?
  6. I have kept a distance on the Adam P stuff, but I really need to get it off my chest: The lad is an absolute div, he can´t speak properly, has no insight or knowledge of football whatsoever; based on the evidence of what comes out of his mouth. Please, could we not give more oxygen to this waste of space? There are quite a few others who commentate on youtube who are actually worth a listen, my favourite would be James Alcott and the true faith lot aren´t bad. Alcott is Really worth a listen, and gives decent in depth analysis of all prem league teams without any real bias...
  7. if the training is how we are led to believe i.e. full tilt, then he should be match fit for saturday. I reckon as always cards close to chest to keep the opposition team guessing. Would rather let Calum have another couple of weeks with the international break. Wow! it is great to have a proper striker as back up, not a worry in my head about goalscoring... Happy days
  8. Bruno and ASM have to be back surely! Even Calum must be close now?
  9. Villa 1 v 2 Southampton Forest 2 v 2 Fulham Wolves 1 v 4 Man City Newcastle 3 v 1 Bournemouth (double) Spurs 2 v 0 Leicester Brentford 2 v 2 Arsenal Everton 1 v 2 West Ham
  10. I couldnt give a funk about his bonce! is he fit for saturday?
  11. Quite a few journalists stating that Eddie wants to play with both Calum and Isak when both are fit. If this is the case what tweaks to the system does he make and who misses out? If he plays both, he might go for (442), he has in the past: --------------------Pope--------------------- Tripps-------Schar---------Bot/Burn------Target --Miggy------Bruno-----Big joe--------ASM-- ----------ISAK--------Calum------------- I think our forward press could suffer and we would have less enforcement in midfield, i would rather keep with the 433 and move miggy or anderson (in future) into willock´s position: ------Miggy------Bruno-----Big Joe---- ---Isak---------Calum------------ASM
  12. Ridiculous if a home game, in a city 300 miles aways from the royal shenanigans, gets called off due to lack of police coverage... haway man?

    Joelinton

Once he’s won the ball, nine out of ten times he turns to go forward running or to give the forward pass… Love it!
  14. Will deffo have bruno and maxi back by then. always look on the bright side of life
  15. CONSIDERING THERE ARE 30 ODD PLAYERS... EXPANDED EUROPEAN PLACES AND RELEGATION...
  16. I think he is too loyal to the project and the players to even think about the england job. Just can´t see it at all. Article was a great read...man love for the Eddie!
  17. Bruno and ASM to play, calum still crocked. They were both brought off as a precaution so should really be ok, although hamstrings are a bugger, you can never really 100% feel them, a lot of it is in your head tbh.
  18. When I said "our", it was the forum really who I was referring to. saturday/sunday... all the same really

    Loris Karius

Is he the one who lost liverpool a champs league final?
  20. bad for us in the battle for top four (future)
  21. For the Prem, and it´s status, i would like to see an Allegri or simeone. think simeone would really suit them... think of Mourinho first era... And it would be so easy to hate them
  22. his stats are amazing but i also don´t think he puts in the shifts that this team seems to like...
  23. Poch seems the most realistic. But considering the big signings made etc, we could see a big Fee paid for Potter, Luis Enrique (?), Simeone, Allegri....
