  1. We should beat these lot. will also take the draw, just think our defence is so far ahead of theirs that we will edge it.
  2. Brentford 1-2 Spurs Palace 2- 1Fulham Everton 0 - 2Wolves Leicester 1-3 Newcastle Southampton 0 - 1 Brighton Villa 1- 3Liverpool Arsenal 2 - 1 West Ham Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth Man United 3 - 0 Forest (dbl) Leeds 1-3 Man City
  3. I am going for: ————-/pope———-// trip——scar—-bot—burn —bruno—shelvey—-jow miggy——wilson——ASM
  4. Leicesters forward players are pretty good also. As somebody said above they are awful at defending set pieces. Taking this into account (draw fouls) I would have ASM in the team instructed to dribble at every opportunity, and move Joe L inside... eddie can decide whether he sacrifices longstaff or willock, then "we´ll have Bruno in the middle"
  5. From watching on TV the commentators over here (Spain) thought that it wasn´t an offside, think it was longstaff to the right who was offside but had no involvement in the play for the goal and didn´t obstruct keeper´s view. They also thought that it was a stonewall penalty as the trajectory of the ball was changed and defenders now should have arms at side of body. Thought our final ball/play was very rusty and they were hard to break down as well.
  6. I can see why eddie wants a lock picker in the team (madison type), they were quite hard to break down.
  7. Ffs! How come city pick up haaland and alvarez for 70 million? without clauses they would be triple that?
  8. Who is the number 8 for morocco? would be a blinding signing!!
  9. Somebody mentioned earlier that a CM who can receive the ball and make the half turn towards the opposition´s half (in the same moment) is what i think eddie is looking for, as well as being tenacious and technically competent (maintains position). For quick transitions and more vertical play you need this type of player, both bruno and Jow do this a lot of the time. I think Rice complies with everything but the positive turn towards the opposition, he makes a sideways or backwards pass the majority of the time.
  10. I think we would be more likely to go for moises Caicedo than Rice, about half the fee and played well in the WC too...

    Soccer.

I thought the USMNT were mint! A breath of fresh air with the intense style and positive attitude to games. I don´t think Geo was missed tbh, the team played well without him. Would keep berhalter, don´t think another coach would have had the bravery to play the way he did...
  12. Bring henderson off, put rashford on left and foden as the ACM. job done

    The Round of 16

I still hate argentina from my first world cup experience. Hope any side that comes up against them thrashes them! if not, then we meet them in the final and piss all over them and then crap on their miserable cheating dishes! …ahh feel better now

    The Round of 16

I reckon england should go a bit more attacking against Senegal tomorrow and win the game in the first half. Bring on more defensive minded players in2nd half: ——————small arms—————- walker ——stones—-maguire—-shaw ————rice———bellingham———- saka————-foden—————rashford ——————-Harry—————-
  16. Read this monring that Velez representatives were coming to Newcastle this week to negotiate Perrone deal. Not sure how reliable as it came off Nufcnewsnow feed...
  17. If I am being honest he was awful until late on in the second half. Every pass was backwards and zero risk to push forward. It is the worst game I have seen him play
  18. I would stick with the same starting eleven, take Kane off after 60 mins and get Calum on. If we are a couple of goals up it would be an idea to bring on rashford for counter attacking pace... Get another few players without minutes on to the pitch at 70 mins or so.
  19. Canade were really impressive, high intensity pressing and quick one touch vertical football. Was a good game to watch and Belguim did not deserve the win at all. Courtois proved he is the world nº1 with a few great saves and a penalty save...
  20. I think this is the hardest group in the world cup (to predict). All teams should be pretty equal and belgium will or won’t turn up…
  21. PS. Buzzin the argies got a beating. Still got a chip on my shoulder about the cheatin bassas from my first real world cup (86)
  22. I actually thought mwxico dominated and played some nice football. Chucky the 22 for mexico was outstanding. Goalie made a cracker of a save for the penalty. Even though there were no goals I enjoyed the game
  23. French front four look pretty decent! Only Oz player I recognise is Mooy. Any more of them in the prem?
