  1. I honestly think our expectations have been pumped up so much that we are now moaning about anything and everything. We need to take a step back and a deep breath and be thankful we will be no where near relegation... and however long it may take, the only way is up and onward to europe! Patience all!
  2. Yes, i agree, he is great to bring on and defend a lead; he presses well, wins a lot in the air and helps out at defending corners set-pieces. When you want to win a game he offers very little.

    England

I have very little interest in the England team tbh, but when the world cup starts and there is no NUFC footy on, then my interest will ramp up a fair bit. At the moment, from what I have read (can´t get the games on TV over here), seems like southgate is going with his "favourites" and not giving other possible candidates a run out (Toney/trent A./maddison...etc), which seems strange given that this euro league has no importance whatsoever. He knows what Kane, sterling, Kyle W, declan and the other favourites bring, why not give the "possible" players a run out and see how they fit into his system (looks like he´ll use five three two). If I have read right there are no more friendly games/time lined up before the world cup starts. Seems insane he hasn´t tried out the other "form" players and is sticking with his favs???
  5. Not regularly (real sociedad), but I watch a lot of Spanish matches as I am based out here...
  6. We are not getting much luck on the injury front! I think the high tempo pressing style and direct fast transitions that we play might be a factor, but speaking from total ignorance (not a medic)
  7. Bloody hell! the world record over falt 10.000m is 26 and a half minutes... Can´t believe that?
  8. Would be nice to have an amphetamine front line of these three: Diaby——Isak——ASM
  9. Jeeezus, very bad predictions for me. Had an off day like bruno… still in the euros tho’
  10. We dont need to have three at the back when ASM plays as Trippier always bombs on and targett generally stays further back to leave us with a back three. we would have even less attacking threat if we go five at the back. I think that bruno on form, isak out on the right and swap miggy/anderson for willock and we would be much more creative?? miggy ——bruno——joe isak——-wilson——ASM
  11. Makes it all the more obvious that we have a first eleven (ten tbh) who are top seven material, but even one injury really affects the team... Two injuries and we are pretty ordinary, great fighters and defensively sound but without the bite needed up front
  12. was he not on bench? missed first 5 mins of match
  13. If we have Maxi and Wilson back then I think we might get something out of this. Nice to see a maxi, wilson, isak front three. Will need our fullbacks to up their game a notch and get some decent overlapping going. Botman into the defence and stick with the tried and tested middle three (joex2 + bruno)
  14. Had a couple of days to calm down, here is my take on saturday: Target and Burn were very pedestrian in their passing and moving into space positions which opened in front of them. target had a poor game overall, hardly got up the pitch and seemed shaky defensively. I think Botman would have been better for this game when the team in front plays a mid-low block. His passing is also quicker and more precise than dan´s. Bruno was totally off the pace for me, can´t replace him but just hope he gets back on it in a couple of weeks time. Big Joe was also off the pace and everything he tried seemed to fizzle out and even his tackling heading wasn´t great. Joe willock played his heart out and for me deserved more out of the game. he perhaps isn´t the creative outlet we all desire but his pressing, forward runs into space and on the ball play on saturday were top level. having said the above, and with not much help from the overlapping (or not) full backs, we were very pedestrian! Add to this miggy and fraser who tried hard, but aren´t top six level, then we get what we deserved... basically no threat on goal. Feel sorry for Isak, no service at all. We were very ordinary on staurday against a very ordinary Bournemouth! The last 20 mins saw the panick set in and silly long balls and shots from the halfway line. Not good. Though Eddie´s subs were crap. it should have been Woods isak and anderson up front (all at once). We are two or three good windows away from being a real threat to the top seven. On current form I think we will be happy with top half this year. Maxi, come on mate, get fit soon!!!
  15. Don´t like pawson much. hope the VAR boys have more than two nuerons between them (see previous amoebas in charge)
  16. Yep, I like miggy instead of willock, just not sure he is disciplined enough. Sometimes seems like his pressing is chicken without a head at times?
  17. I think valverde is the best player in that team, on and off the ball he never puts a foot wrong. brilliant player! It´s still funny how both Modric and Kroos still get a huge amount of game time...
  18. Yeh, sorry for the rant, but I just don´t see where the interest comes from?
  19. I have kept a distance on the Adam P stuff, but I really need to get it off my chest: The lad is an absolute div, he can´t speak properly, has no insight or knowledge of football whatsoever; based on the evidence of what comes out of his mouth. Please, could we not give more oxygen to this waste of space? There are quite a few others who commentate on youtube who are actually worth a listen, my favourite would be James Alcott and the true faith lot aren´t bad. Alcott is Really worth a listen, and gives decent in depth analysis of all prem league teams without any real bias...
  20. if the training is how we are led to believe i.e. full tilt, then he should be match fit for saturday. I reckon as always cards close to chest to keep the opposition team guessing. Would rather let Calum have another couple of weeks with the international break. Wow! it is great to have a proper striker as back up, not a worry in my head about goalscoring... Happy days
  21. Bruno and ASM have to be back surely! Even Calum must be close now?
  22. Villa 1 v 2 Southampton Forest 2 v 2 Fulham Wolves 1 v 4 Man City Newcastle 3 v 1 Bournemouth (double) Spurs 2 v 0 Leicester Brentford 2 v 2 Arsenal Everton 1 v 2 West Ham
  23. I couldnt give a funk about his bonce! is he fit for saturday?
