  2. Rafa was from all perspectives; given the boot by Ashley. Offered no guarantees for signings and no investment in the facilties was the same as telling him to F off! let´s be honest about it, Rafa wanted to stay but felt that he would be letting us down if he did so without the minimum support from the FCB...
  3. If we have to rest players but still want to be competitive, I would go for: -----------------------Pope-------------------- Tripps------Botman-------Burn-----Targett ----Willock-------Bruno-------Anderson--- ----Miggy-------Wilson--------Fraser-----

I think he´s more of a High Speed Japanese Train; Composed, fast, reliable and always arrives at his destination on time!!
  6. https://theathletic.com/3696018/2022/10/17/everton-frank-lampard-progress/ An overview of how Everton are progressing from The Athletic
  7. I wouldn´t have given any of the penalties either, they were all soft! The decisions refs are making regards penalties are not consistent, there are different outcomes every time and it seems that VAR doesn´t really influence/help them much either.
  8. My heart sank when i saw the calum thread updated... Immediately thought he had an injury! We are getting a run of bad luck with these niggly hyamstrings etc...
  9. Just read in the Liverpool echo that Big Fwank has a full squad to choose from and no injuries (1st teamers) or suspensions. Calvert Lewin to come back in from start.

Looked a bit shaky his first couple of games but has progressed superbly. Very confident with him at the back. Great attitude as well
  11. I agree, would go all out to win at home against Everton, then rest a few against Spurs. We need to prioritise points and I think everyone would agree that we should reap more at home to a poor everton side than away to a steady top six side.
  12. He had a much better game today to be fair to him, he plays better further up the field, but still gets caught out too often because of him taking too much time on the ball. It must be high priority for Asworth to get a good DM in in the near future, somebody who can also pass a ball as well they break up counters.
  13. I agree, second half you plyed much better than we did but it didn´t click for either side up front.
  14. I have only seen 20 mins, looks pretty even so far. they are trying a lot of long balls over the top to use their pace. i would take burn off now that he has a yellow
  15. I dont rate fred and rashford worries me more than Sancho tbf. Shaw and dalot are beatable, albeit shaw is getting forward a lot again (fwet). HTL!!!!
  16. Want a good gane from lonstaff and murphy today. Need them to be on top form!!! would like to see an anderson cameo if poss i.e. 2-0 up
  17. The only worry I have is that their attack is very pacey and our defenders aren’t that quick (not slow either). Draw will suffice for me.
  18. Is antony a winger or a wing back? sorry, just never really paid much attention...
  19. look good on paper and if they work hard (as they have in the last couple) they will be hard to beat... Don´t give that brilcream bassa a chance lads!! I would actually prefer to see martial on the teamsheet than Ronaldo, I think if he gets a half chance he is more likely to bury it.
  20. -----------------Kick it long --------------- Antony-----Varane------Big marti--------Shaw ----------Erik the Vik-----Casemiro--------- --Sancho--------Grumpy bruno-----Rasford-- ----------------Ronny------------------
  21. Found this article in this morning, made me giggle, reminding me of what many of us have done/do... Tweaking of wikipedia accounts, tweeting and re-tweeting etc, to either elevate or devaluate your heroes/villains: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/oct/13/the-amazing-trueish-story-of-the-honduran-maradona-alexander-lopez
  22. Powered by seems like a reasonable middle ground for both the die hards and the progressives…. can’t see any problem as long as the money is right

    Dan Burn

i also think that anyone outside of manchester would call them manU, I suppose the manks distinguish themselves as city and united, which is fair enough...
  24. I think Eddie has the perfect excuse to makes changes, if he felt he needed an excuse to drop/pick players, that we have three games in one week... We will need to rest and manage players. Joe Linton has to come back into midfield as well as ASM. Longstaff and Murphy are light years away from the level of the former two!!! the only doubt I have is whether Target comes in for Burn. Burn had an "off" game the other day but has been performing well in the back 4/3 (when tripps advances) so I reckon Eddie won´t change the defence. The reason he will change the midfield is that we press harder with big Joe and offer more threat up front with maxi and hence force them to be a bit less offensive down the right flank...
