  1. Wasn’t the rumour that Ashley fucked them off?
  2. Maybe chancer was a bit strong but to describe her as an opportunist may be more fair.
  3. If you have to borrow money from the club for your unrelated legal battles and we’re talking 100s of thousands not millions I would question how successful you are.
  4. As nice as she seems she comes across as a chancer. Sorry folks I don’t buy into the idolisation some have for her and Mehdad. Yes, they ultimately saved us from Ashley but it wasn’t charity. They picked up a cheap asset which PIF and the Reubens are funding and which could make them very rich when they sell their slice. It looks like she has no real wealth and her main income was from brokering deals between mid east sheikhs and European businesses. She ends up in a lot of litigation e.g Barclays, Ashley, and now this guy which doesn’t reflect well on her and isn’t good for the clubs image particularly when the club loans her money for her legal battles. Ashley started proceedings for non payment of his loan as has this guy. Not sure if taking personal loans from acquaintances in particular Ashley shows sound judgement as well as not paying them back (if proven).
  5. That’s coached in training sessions not sure what our players do.

    Loris Karius

His reactions looked better than Dubravka’s as well as his sweeping but his ball playing skills aren’t as good. Where Dubs would knock it about with the defenders shifting the opposition about to break the press Karius was kicking it upfield mostly.
  7. Where’s that from? If that’s the case send him to a better league but he’s not ready for PL yet.
  8. Nah, give him a second season with Feynoord. He’s not a first pick in the Dutch league (no offence ?? NUFC fans) PL is a few steps above that.

    Sandro Tonali

Seriously if he has breached the rules again sue him for breach of contract and his transfer fee.
  10. We’ve been pretty passive in the face of all the obstacles put up by others (looking outside in). Think that may have emboldened them more. Not sure why we don’t have a stadium and training ground sponsor, a training kit sponsor, and lots of below the threshold deals with can’t be scrutinised by other clubs. On top of that PIF are massive, I don’t believe they can’t use their leverage to get sponsors outside of their own companies. So to me it looks we could do more to help our finances and haven’t taken the opportunities.
  11. Give Willock a half against Blackburn and see how he goes. If no reaction then start him against Wolves in place of Longstaff. Play Miley as the sitting midfielder with Bruno a little further ahead.
  12. Nice having a midfielder who can run with the ball.
  13. ? Suppose if you’re at that level in any industry and been out of work for 18 months potential employers may be hesitant as you’ve been away from the action for so long, may affect his career long term.
  14. Think there’s no way back for Ashworth. He wanted to jump ship and if that falls through reflects badly on his decision making as he should have been sure Man U would pay what we would want to release him plus loss of trust with the ownership. We should move on and replace him regardless. We either get the money from Man U or the satisfaction of him rotting for 18 months.
  15. Would a joint director of football work, Giles for the data and that Paul Mitchell guy for his talent spotting and deal making ability?
  16. Transfers are done by committee, but as you say wasn’t his main role. Think his remit was to align all the departments to pull in the same direction to a shared vision. Including planning pathways for youth players to the first team, improve medical facilities, improve our data department, scouting, and women’s teams etc. An administrator, which should be replaceable but is an important role as fractional improvements across departments can eek out improvements on the pitch.
  17. But Eales says in his remarks about Ashworth’s departure that the hunt for a replacement begins immediately? https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/dan-ashworth-commences-gardening-leave/
