Check what you want i'm French and post from France !!! Show respect, i respect everybody here. That's alright then. Well, thank you for your role in being overtaken by a bunch of oil drillers with no connection to your club whatsoever, buying your club's way back to respectability and then pinching our best player because your pube-haired manager (who himself is even more overrated than the city in your name) quite fancies him as an occasional plaything. Your club is a steaming turdpile of an example of what has gone wrong with football. If you wanted respect you could at least loan Shola and/or Sammy Ameobi off us for a while and let Zalatan come and play in a real league. Jog on you monumental poodle coiffeur. -
You think he commits fraud? It was in the last set of accounts how much he had taken out and planned to take out. Absolutely wouldn't put fraud past him, no.
-
I get the feeling the guy doesn't officially "pay back" any of the loans the club owes him to put off any potential buyers/investors. He trousers profit but it isn't reflected in any official account,

Big exaggeration IMO. Yes, if he wants to win the CL etc etc he has to move on, fair enough. That's the case for most players at most clubs. But he's competing in the best league in the world and he's likely to go to the WC as an important player for France. It's not like he's scrabbling around the conference. Then again, he needs to pick a move carefully or he might end up warming a very successful bench. The point is he won't achieve anything of significance with us or (in my opinion) reach his full potential; but I agree, it's not like we're some footballing outpost. Sure, you can only achieve the top honours by playing for 3 or 4 clubs, less in some leagues. And true, if Cabaye wants that he'll have to leave. But that's just stating the obvious, I don't think there's any conclusion you can draw from it that means anything. Yup, I think it's more the point that football is in a pretty wanky state rather than Cabaye is disloyal or an agitator or anything. -
He'll be given time but they will only be delaying the inevitable. He'll never reach the heights they want to be at with him in charge. Even with the right signings, he'll not get them back to the top imo. Would Pardew? Genuinely interested.

They'll get bummed by Man City, it's all good

Dante won't go to Manchester United, Bayern rate him far too highly to sell to who they perceive to be a CL rival.

You can stick your Eiffel Tower up yer arse -
At no point did it look like any of their players believed they were going to win

I love the guy, but he's too good for a club with no ambition. I think if we were actually arsed about challenging/winning silverware he would stay here for a serious chunk of his career, when he first moved he seemed really attached to the project and being the centrepiece of a developing team with a new transfer strategy who had the infrastructure to become a European force. I don't blame him one iota for becoming disillusioned with the fact that a guy of his undoubtable talent (for my money he's in the top 10/20 players in the division; he was in the Guardian top 100 footballers in the world and I absolutely don't think that's a stretch) is at a team which will never develop him to his full potential or allow him to use that talent to contribute to winning anything or going anywhere. The equivalent would be my employer never striving to make more profit and never trying to develop anyone, with no real structure for moving up the chain. I would become massively disillusioned and be looking for a way out, not because I am a diva or difficult, because I want to be the best I can be. Seriously, what in the name of holy fuck can Alan Pardew teach this guy about football that will permit him to become one of the best players in Europe, which he has the potential to be? -
Absolutely up for the Keegan one, anyone else?

Agree with that, mind. Taylor got away with absolute murder for years while people like me got slaughtered (at the game and on here) for telling it like it was. Now I think he's better than better than Mike Williamson and apparently that makes me his no.1 fan. There really is a lot of stupid people supporting our club. Also, it's there really are a lot of stupid people.
-
You've said that about Williamson. You wanna make up your mind. Have I though? If I have, whenever I said it (before his recent run of form), would you have thought it an outlandish statement? Also, I don't think saying that about either player is a bad summary.

Fine as 4th choice CB, nothing more

Nothing wrong with throwing darts like a maverick -
I would submit, based on never having watched him, that he is an upgrade on Shola.

Yeh I did have to do a bit of wading through the facially sub-optimal before arriving at a visually acceptable spot. Nee bother; will see you up in Scotland for the Hitman. I'm going to ask him to demonstrate the sharpshooter on Taylor -
