I remember this word. I think it was a good thing.

English football punditry ladies and gentleman. It really does typify, quite well, the narrow field of vision they tend to have. The myopia they show to anyone outside of the existing British network of managers, to any philosophy from beyond these shores. Bit embarrassing for him tbh.

Where to start with that... I'm not sure if he knows Moyes has a job you know.

Very very nice that.

Or follow the tide out to sea. I'm sure if someone said they were were a laughing stock if they didn't, they'd swim right out.

Tactics are a bit one dimensional He likes a flat pack four.

The club model of buying cheap and selling high isn't a horrible thing, in and of itself. Southampton for example are doing very well and making a packet doing so. Galling as it is to be following in their footsteps only a few seasons after being in Europe ourselves, I see no reason why Ashley couldn't adopt that model. As has always been the case, having a good manager would only ever have been beneficial to him.

Hopefully Sherwood gets the gig, as that would effectively rule both out from coming here (as Pulis wouldn't work with MA).

Desperately hope the next permanent manager gives these the boot and brings in new people.

I cannot fathom what in Pardew they felt they were able to support. I mean, do they like watching turgid, defensive football and regular batterings as well as constantly losing to Sunderland at home? It utterly baffles me. I could kind of understand it in a very small way if Pardew was a likeable and honourable character but....... Just don't get it. They're just jaded I think. A media onslaught over several decades with the message of the "deluded Geordie" stereotype, reinforced by jeers from other clubs, have made them so self-conscious that it's become self-perpetuating. They're so worried about how we as a fanbase come across that they'll happily accept anything they're served up and think it's more than enough as long as we're in the top flight. They now fully buy in to Sky's belief that midtable or just below is about right for Newcastle, and that's okay. Anything else is just being greedy/unreasonable.

Would love it if he tried to sign Darren Bent or Gareth Barry. Maybe Scott Parker.

This is obviously a very joyous time but I do resent the crowd that didn't get behind SP, and still give them flak/support Pardew. They don't deserve joy. They deserve a lifetime of derby defeats.

This is great. I just want to like our own team for a change. Haven't felt that since Hughton's "group of lads".

Is my feeling. Have no desire to follow his failures/selling of snakeskin oil any further than I already have. Obviously I wish the absolute worst for him personally and professionally until the end of his days, that goes without saying, and if I happen to find out he's suffering in some way of course I'll raise a wry smile, but I don't want to see his smarmy face or hear his forked tongue in action again if I can help it.
