  1. Was calling him an interim chairman when he was appointed not enough prior information for you? I seem to recall it being reasonably common knowledge he was only going to be in the position for a year anyway.
  2. John Utaka is very inconsistent here to say the least. He's been a bit of a flop considered what they paid for him (£7m?)
  3. It was a good game, but I don't feel any sympathy for Terry tbh, think the man's a tosser the way he conducts himself on the football pitch. I know he missed his penalty, but Ronaldo was one of the best players on the pitch over the 120, if not the best. Took his goal brilliantly, skinned Essien any number of times and always looked a threat.

    A Legend

Serves him right for putting in a deliberate and cynical foul. Like the dirty twat does every game.
  5. Should be Keegan's decision really. If he thinks he can sort him out, then we have to stick by him, no two ways about it. I think he's a scumbag, but I care about how this affects the club on the pitch more than in the newspapers.
  6. I don't think that logic really holds given that it's two premiership teams playing each other. I expect both of them to be fairly cagey tbh.
  7. Found 11p in my paddypower account so I had a nibble on Terry and ManYoo to win 2-1 at 300/1 I'll waste some more money on this later. Need to work out who I want to win, let alone who I think's going to.

    Mbami

The only reason I've heard of him as well
  9. Reluctantly keep on what should be his actual last chance. We stand to lose too much by releasing him. Hopefully it'll sort the little twat out.

    Sam Vokes?

He was linked a lot in Jan.
  11. At the moment I think that Everton are the closest, but I can only see us or Spurs spending enough to do it. Villa are something of an unknown quantity as I don't know much about Lerner or how much cash he's prepared to throw at the problem.

    The Wage Bill

I don't know, but according to my Pompey supporting housemate they pay massive wages. Campbell is apparently on £105k.
  13. Good player Diarra, real shame we didn't get him.

    Todays Rumours....

That won't be the full story. He'll have bid less, and be paying it in installments, but the shirt wanted to go to him.
  15. I agree. That's why everyone has a persecution complex, it simply isn't noticed when the same sort of thing happens to other clubs in the media.
  16. I think we all do. Would be a real shame if he was moved on.
  17. I'd quite like to see Hull up, if only for the novelty of Big Dean Windass getting back into the prem.
  18. I just can't see him recapturing his old form, sadly. I thought it was a brilliant signing when we got him, but it hasn't worked out for whatever reason. I get the impression that he was heavily dependent on his pace in the past, and that certainly seems to have deserted him.
  19. They'd move up quickly once they got some money though. I agree they would be with this team btw.

    The Wage Bill

I'd imagine you don't have to be a ST holder to get a ticket when the allocation is larger than your grounds capacity.

    The Wage Bill

I can honestly say Spurs' prices are sickening, isn't it £70+ for a ticket in the east stand atm? I know I know someone who paid £65 to see Liverpool last season, I can only assume they've gone up since then. Also, out of interest rather than piss take, did Spurs ever sell out pre Martin Jol? I'm convinced they didn't, which makes new stadium talk seem premature, but I could well be wrong. Also, you're not f****** wrong you dodged a bullet with Duff. Offering £2m more than us for the player is a strange way of doing it though Yep, it was £71 for a Cat A game in the West Upper last season. For next season, my ST has got jacked up to £1150. God knows what they'd charge if we ever got CL competition! Spurs have usually sold out/nearly sold out throughout the Enic years, including pre Martin Jol. Spurs, along with a few others, report attendances by people through the turnstile, not tickets sold, so if someone with a ticket doesn't turn up, the attendance goes down. Other clubs, Arsenal when they were at Highbury was one, report attendances by tickets sold irrespective of whether they supporter actually turns up. I don't know why there should be a difference though. I bet there aren't many with a £71 ticket that don't turn up though.
  22. The Zenit fans deserved it as well, they were brilliant all game. Zenit looked an excellent team as well, very much deserving of the win. Rangers looked shit.

    nufc.com

Aye, I read that review as well, and it sent me to YouTube to sit and watch videos of it for about 20 minutes. I still think it's bang-on, personally, great website. Yeah, so do I. There are articles and reports that I think are shit from time to time, but it's written by two people and I'm not going to agree with them all the time. Overall it's a class website imo, and even if you think they're tossers it'd still be worth a read to keep up to date with reserve and youth team football.
