  1. You're saying that comfortable in the knowledge that we got straight back up and are ok now, who wouldn't go back and throw in an FA Cup as well? The fact is not every relegation goes as smoothly as ours last time. We'd be relying on players like Cabaye doing what the likes of Nolan did last time around, and can we realistically expect players like that to stay? The instrumental players we had last time have all either left us since, will possibly be leaving us this summer (Colo) and have simply got worse since (Jonas), so if it happens again it'll be completely different. I think a lot of fans are underestimating just how bad a relegation can be because of our season in the Championship a few years ago.

There's still the epic conclusion to the NETDs title race tbf.
  3. The Championship season was simple, we were winning games and after a while knew we were coming back up so everyone was happy. I think people might look to that season and think yeah sure I'll take another season of that and the FA Cup, but there are no guarantees that another Championship season would go so smoothly.
  4. They haven't improved much since being in the PL either. Of course they have man. We've players that are much better quality than teams in the lower leagues. If we had a manager of much better quality than lower league managers who actually wanted to win a cup we might actually do well, but to say our chances are no better than lower league teams is just stupid.
  5. I'd take survival. Not only would winning the cup be somewhat dampened by the relegation, but what about long term when the joy wears off? What if we can't get out of the lower leagues for years like so many teams before us? Winning a cup would be absolutely amazing and a dream for all of us obviously, but I wouldn't take it over the potential future well being of the club. For me when you're in the Premier League you should have a much better advantage over teams in the football league and lower in terms of trying to win a cup, obviously for us we've had both bad luck and bad managers which have mean't we've gone without, but we got to finals since we last won it and our luck can change. Our chances of winning anything while in the lower leagues are much harder.

Nah Wigan have no chance tonight like. I'd love to see the mackems go down, but this will be Wigan's third game in a week and it's one of the hardest in the fixture list.

    Alan Pardew

If this season doesn't get him sacked then we're probably in for another 7 seasons of it.

    Alan Pardew

Fuck sake, what terrible news. Hopefully it's not true.
  10. He should be sacked tomorrow now that we're safe, but I think we're in for yet another Pardew inspired hammering next week.
  11. I sense you're going to be disappointed on at least a couple of those requirements Yep
  12. No bullshit gameplans tomorrow please, just go out and batter them for 90 minutes. No trying to be too smart, no trying to change it up with daft subs, no sitting back and protecting a lead, none of that shit, just fucking win so we can put this nightmare behind us.

What world are you/they living in? A season like last season is never going to lead to sustainable success. Bloody hell. What happens the season after that too? More Europa League football therefore another relegation battle? We might improve the squad, but we will be losing players as well. We need a manager who is capable of making something happen with this squad, whether we're in Europe or not. There are plenty of options out there too but people seem convinced that no one of any quality wants to touch us. Also how is it an improvement to match last seasons achievements having invested small last summer, big in January and presumably big this summer? That to me seems like a lot of investment to stand in the same place as last year, having nearly lost our place in the Premier League in between. Of course you could just look at us this season and suggest anything above 17th etc is an improvement, but if anything this season shows how Pardew is incapable or doing a job here. We should have been aiming to beat, match or get very close to last seasons achievements this year and look where we are.

Merson's preview is a joke, he just states the obvious then makes comments such as QPR not losing but without any explanation as to why he think's they won't lose. Lawro's is just funny how he predicts QPR will score and give us a tight enough game despite Colo strengthening our defence and the entire QPR club being on holiday.

So basically he is saying he thinks this and that without giving any explanation as to why he thinks that? Great preview. As for Lawro, completely writing off QPR, hailing Colo and our defence, but yet still thinks QPR will score.

    Sir Alex Ferguson

That could be our list in about 2 weeks.

If Lennon went there he'd be sacked before the end of the season and would just mope around jobs in the lower leagues before packing it in and becoming a commentator for SPL matches or something. If he stays at Celtic he'd win countless SPL titles and cups becoming basically immortalized at the club in the process.

Neil Lennon would be so foolish to go to Everton, he's got the job of his dreams at Celtic.

That poll tells you everything about how clueless the fans thinking Ashley and Llambias are.
  22. Juve shirts have pissed all over ours for years. Our kit developers should just look at them and make a complete copy, easy.
