  1. Barton was already on 40k plus a week at Man City, Enrique was on peanuts in Spain. There is no way he is earning anything like Barton, ffs.
  2. Are you talking about the Luque before the serious injury and mistreatment or the Luque prior to those events? He's talking about the actual Luque, not the hypothetical world beater. This is where you lot are failing to understand the argument and so there is no point continuing it. Are you talking about the Luque before the serious injury and mistreatment or the Luque prior to those events? He's talking about the actual Luque, not the hypothetical world beater. This is where you lot are failing to understand the argument and so there is no point continuing it. You're building a Luque who never existed, a Luque who should have taken Shearer's place in the team. The actual Luque was there and did nothing to earn his wages or justify his price tag. It's as simple as that. Again, you were about 7 at the time and you're completely ignoring what you've just been told by VI - who saw plenty of him. I was roughly 34 at the time and fully concur with what the 7-year-old said. I, unlike you, was sat just behind the dug-out at Spurs when he refused to warm up (for the game Owen was crocked in, as I recall) because he was on the bench. Terry Mac had to physically push him onto the pitch. Luque was a disgrace. End of.
  3. Don't tell me, you were saying as much when Owen signed?
  4. Smith did pretty well in the first few months of the Championship season. Fact.
  5. Should we be concerned that the extra £13m Ashley has loaned the club in advance of players being sold might be repaid from the £35m received for Carroll?
  6. Spot on. He had a right to expect the wall to deal with that. But he looked totally disinterested for Fuller's goal.
  7. For this season, better the 35M than an injured player who has yet to score after sold. For next season, depends on what is done with that 35M Aye, because Carroll wouldn't have been any sort of goal threat (whuch now barely exists) for us once he was back fit. Unbelievable. Some people are beyond help. I'm just stating facts, since his recovery, he has yet to score or get an assist for a team that is playing much better than us. You're just speculating So it's a fact that "for this season" it's better to have money in the bank than Andy Carroll? THAT'S speculation, and utter s***.

  9. Chimps make a f*** load of noise at the zoo come feeding time. Suppose we should doff a cap to them anarl. They're there, supporting the team come what may 150 miles from home in the middle of the worst recession in 80 years. You're here, talking s**t. Fair summary?
  10. I can't understand why anyone is still surprised that, faced with opposition with a physical presence, we crumble. We are p*ss weak at both ends of the pitch.
  11. Wolves at home. Lose that and we're in deep s*** with only a £35m invisible paddle. Spot on. Is being in deep s*** worse than being up s*** creek - with or without an invisible paddle?
  12. A large section of the national press - particularly the Sunday press - love Fergie. He briefs them regularly.
  13. With zero service from the worst Liverpool midfield in my lifetime (even Souness put out better than that), it's no surprise. Wish we still had him.
  14. Officially the worst commentary duo in the world. Ever.
  15. "Attack, attack, attack"...where have I heard that before?
  16. According to the press. Aye, Marveaux has come out now and said he hasn't agreed a move to Liverpool, contrary to reports.
  17. Yawn. Wondered how long it would be before you were back driving the bandwagon. Ironic you're complaining about an elbow, the amount of cheap, sly digs you get in coming in from the side. If you can show me the mass outcry on here about the Roberts challenge, I'd like to read it. Anything relevant to add to the debate? Fancy answering my last question?
  18. A foul nobody complained about at the time or afterwards, and a goal widely attributed to a Williamson error. We'll have to beg to differ, but I'd just ask you to imagine the reaction on here had S Taylor been the defender involved...
  19. Yeah, and Woodgate was 23 when we bought him. But already then, he was a complete stopper. Taylor is Yeah, and Woodgate was 23 when we bought him. But already then, he was a complete stopper. Taylor is now two years older, and he's still s***. The amateur faults he pulled off against Everton still amaze me. I could have understood them if they were of the less serious kind. Being just back from injury could then been an excuse. But not pressuring Arteta and inviting him into the box, is a humongous error at that level and shows a lack of football intelligence. And he cannot use lack of experience as an excuse either... now two years older, and he's still s***. The amateur faults he pulled off against Everton still amaze me. But not pressuring Arteta and inviting him into the box, is a humongous error at that level and shows a lack of football intelligence. And he cannot use lack of experience as an excuse either... Woodgate was the best defender we've had in my time as a fan (1980 onwards), so it's harsh to compare Taylor with him. Did the amateur faults by Williamson this season (conveniently forgotten by many Taylor haters) shock you? Williamson has made some mistakes, but none as "obvious" as the one Taylor pulled of against Everton. And this is Williamson's first PL season, a excuse that doesn't apply for Taylor. Williamson is now just as good a stopper as Taylor, and that feat he managed in just one lousy season. Taylor on the other hasn't developed since his early 20s. Blackburn home - Jason Roberts' winner. Midweek home game? Lost 2-1? Williamson glaring missed tackle? Ring any bells? Case closed. That is absolute bollocks though. Jason Roberts deliberately elbowed Williamson in the ribcage under his armpit and the ref and linesman failed to spot it. Blatant foul, not a Williamson mistake. Nobody even appealed to the ref because Williamson had put in a clearly p*ss weak challenge. It wasn't even one he should have gone into anyway. He should have stood Roberts up rather than commit himself. Aside from which, Williamson has made blatant errors vs Arsenal (in league & cup), Wigan, Bolton and Stevenage that I can easily remember.
  20. Jose is not using Jonas when he overlaps? It's Jose doing the overlapping, ffs. It's up to Jonas to release him. So many words, so little knowledge and clearly so little experience of watching Newcastle United.
  21. Exactly. The reason why I've always been against Taylor is his salary. He's so much weaker as a player compared to Exactly. The reason why I've always been against Taylor is his salary. He's so much weaker as a player compared to Tiote, HBA or Barton, but is almost earning as much as them. We got to trust our club to find better talents that is younger, have more potential, is less injury prone and earn considerable less. , HBA or Barton, but is almost earning as much as them. We got to trust our club to find better talents that is younger, have more potential, is less injury prone and earn considerable less. Dearie me. That'll be the Barton who spent eons on the treatment table in all three of his previous seasons with us?
  22. The clone = Much better The difference between Cole and Enrique now is the former's ability to contribute more in attack. Enrique is to inefficient. But overall Enrique has been outstanding in defense this year, better than Cole.. Seriously, do you ever actually watch Newcastle? Inefficient going forward? He's put in several of the crosses of the season in recent weeks alone (for Lovenkrands - twice - and Leon Best). By contrast, his defending in recent weeks has been variable.
