It takes a lot to improve Liverpool tbf. Sesko and Woltemade are not proven in the same class as Isak.

I have feeling a lot of fans are going to be surprised at how good he is, as long as he hasn't lost any of the acceleration which made him a prospect when he first came on the scene.

I don't normally watch highlight videos of players we haven't signed, but I couldn't resist. He looks shit hot. Two footed finisher and he can spot a pass as well. Maybe he just doesn't press relentlessly so he doesn't suit Howe's gameplan.

I'd actually see Wissa as more of an Isak replacement than Jackson tbh. Just feel his finishing is more refined, Jackson is still very much in the works.

Depends on the quality of the striker as well though. If we'd got Sesko or Jao Pedro, then maybe we would have considered letting Isak go. Even then Liverpool would have to offer a figure WE considered acceptable. Given the way things have played out, I'm not surprised we are telling Liverpool and Isak to go do one.

If Wissa is the only incoming striker then Isak definitely will be coming back into the fold. We aren't going to be relying on Wissa and Osula.

The squad is getting there, you can see it taking shape. Only the striker situation needs addressing and hopefully it will be done in the next couple of weeks.

Howe did mention we might be able to take advantage of other clubs with PSR issues this summer. I reckon Ramsey must have been the player he had in mind since he's a long term admirer.
