    Joelinton

I think Wilson left the pitch absolutely distraught at not getting a goal in a 5-1 win.
  2. A draw for me, I know it's unlikely to catch Spurs, but I want them in touching distance just in case.

    Joelinton

I know we've won well without him, but he looked pretty damn good when he came on.
  4. There was a different aura about him today, after last week's goals he was emanating menace. Think he will be a hard man to drop after this, he's on a high right now so until he hits a dip in form, he is going to be a headache for teams playing us. Bring an extra pair of kecks to the game next week @Froggy
  5. Tbh, I didn't think we were that fluent today, although I was watching in a room with family around who were talking over the game so I couldn't really watch with full attention as they kept trying to involve me in their conversations. I'll have to watch it again to see it properly.

    Joe Willock

He can't buy one at the minute, they just refuse to go in. Good thing is, his all round game has come on leaps and bounds under Eddie, so he's not so reliant on them. He's still getting chances though, so they will come. Maybe seven games in a row when the dam breaks.
  7. Felt like he was picturing Jack Grealish's nuts in his crosshairs when he blasted that one in.
  8. You'd like to think after a decent (sort of) performance last week, and getting the nod from the manager today, he should have some extra confidence to really go for it.

    Callum Wilson

Every time you see one of the wide men failing to get the pass in, when you watch the replay he'll inevitably be pointing both arms at his feet screaming they should have put him in regardless of how good their own position was. The best strikers have that selfish streak, and he's up there with the best, that's for sure.
  10. You could be right. He'd be a great addition for us although I don't see him moving before the summer now, Leicester don't seem desperate enough to sell just yet.
  11. Things are certainly starting to look a lot brighter with Bruno, Wilson and ASM all returning. We don't have any bench strength, but our first 11 is pretty decent.
  12. He had a spell at Liverpool when he was the bees knees, but they went on to bigger and better things with more complete strikers. The truth is, they just had no need of him by the time he'd decided it was a mistake to have left.
  13. I think he's just what they need personally. Plenty of players there, just need some organisation.
  14. Read somewhere recently that he is desperate to make the move to Spurs. I think @Shearergol said he wanted to go to Arsenal. Haven't seen or heard anything about him wanting to come here, seems like he has a preference for north London. It's all hearsay of course, but just makes you wonder where this stuff comes from.
  15. What is it with these ex-pros and their refusal to let someone finish their sentence before barking their own opinions? We had to put up with it with Bruce, and Roy Keane is just as bad.

    7th-ometer

See even though you are claiming to be relaxed about it, you still have that 7th spot gnawing away at the back of your mind. There's a reason for it, the sort of teams who are competing for it are in our sights, and we should be able to challenge them for it.
  17. Echoes of Marco van Basten's wonder strike at the Euros many years ago,

    Callum Wilson

I don't think he's getting on either, but he just strikes me as the sort of player who would finish when it matters. Big game player, and while from a selfish reason, I can understand us keeping him to ourselves, I think he deserves the chance to serve his country on the biggest stage.

    Callum Wilson

Get the feeling if he goes to the world cup, he'd be just the sort of striker who would win you games when it mattered. Not surprised he's got his sights on that World cup squad place. He's a natural born predator.

    Callum Wilson

He looked gutted to be hauled off like, he was probably fancying a hattrick if Eddie had allowed him the full 90.

    Joe Willock

Just because Bruno and Longstaff did their jobs, doesn't negate Willock's contribution. I'm not here to write a detailed breakdown of his contribution for you. Either you weren't watching the game or you had made your mind up he played badly before the game was played.
  22. Yep, it feels all wrong to see him playing for a Moyes side. I get the feeling he didn't even want him, the player was probably bought over his head. He didn't look overly enthused on the day he was asked about signing him.
  23. Yes it was against ten men, but we have been trying inventive flicks and dummies in earlier games as well, you can clearly see the effects of the coaching in trying to get us to move the ball a bit quicker. It really bodes well for the rest of the season, and onwards as we get better quality players through the door.
