Look him up on Google / youtube, the lad has a lot of quality but is being very badly managed by Alan Pardew and his confidence is clearly now very, very low. Time for Pardew to go, we've got some decent players here. The manager is incompetent. So playing under a crap manager suddenly weakens a player, making him unable to shoot? I hope he comes good but I have my doubts. It is exceptionally common that a player out of form often mishits shots and generally looks to do anything other than shoot, taking far too many touches and losing the ball. The whole team, apart from Cisse, ridiculously, look bereft of confidence, and any form of team gameplan. Shockingly, individual players often look worse if they're in a team where they don't know what they, or their teammates, are supposed to be doing.

He comes a lot closer than most others, but he's certainly not a player I'd define as consistent. Or at least he hasn't shown to be under Pards. Not that I'd expect massive consistency out of this kind of player anyway, I'm more concerned about getting that consistency from centre backs, centre mids and strikers / poacher types.

Yep. Very few players can look good under this chump. And the ones who did basically won us games single-handedly and then got sold for a pretty penny ( / idiotic release clause) or were intelligent enough not to sign for us on a permanent-basis.

Trust me, it'd be a week before you realize what kind of man Peter Beardsley is and it'll just be another childhood idol on the scrap heap with all the paedos.
