  1. What a ridculous article from the Independent. OMG Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Sissokho, Debuchy and Mbiwa don't have release clauses!!!!!!! As if we'll struggle to move them on! We got 8m for Martins and 4m for Duff last time we went down.
  2. Bollocks is Carver as much to blame. Carver does "oversee" our attacking play and it's virtually non-existent. Either he's partly to blame or he's a spineless yes man.
  3. Pardew has 23 points from 23 games whilst Redknapp has been there. Redknapp has 20 points from 22 games. I know which one is the greater achievement with the squads. Both backed equally in January as well.
  4. does it fuck. Have you seen them play this year? A good manager has them firing easy. Hatem and Cabaye are worth 30m easily. Krul at least 10m- he's Hollands number 1 and no age. Debuchy at least 6. So 4m for Tiote and Colo.
  5. Who stays if we go down? Cabaye, Hatem, Debuchy, Krul, Tiote, Coloccini adds up somewhere over £50m. So can we keep Mbiwa, Sissokho, Santon, Anita, Marveaux, Cisse and Gouffran?
  6. Who knows? Surely today will tell the mug that setting us up negatively is pointless. Just have a fucking go.
  7. No goals scored from a corner this season. 60 goals conceded in 34 league games. Joint lowest away wins in the league. Second lowest away points in the league. Only 2 wins by more than 1 goal (one of which was against a side playing with 10 men for 80 minutes). 4 last minutes winners equating to 8 points of our 37 point total (more than 21%). And we're still only 8 points off 8th. This league is pathetic and this clown is relegating the best squad we've had in 10 years. I've not even mentioned the derby.
  8. This was always going to happen. If a manager says we're tired enough the players will start to feel it, if he says we shit because of injuries the players will have an excuse. One thing about Di Canio is that he won't let his players think negatively or make excuses.
  9. The local press are little bitches. Mark Douglas is on twitter tonight slating Redknapp. The twat would never say anything like that about Pardew because he needs his quotes every week. Ryder might turn on him. That's because his only redeeming feature is that he is a big fan. The rest of them care only for an easy life where Pardew feeds them nice easy lines to work with.
  10. He'll do well in the Championship.
  11. The set piece nonsense can easily be blamed on players. We have one player in the side that can win a header. Just look at the rest of them- no one contests with any real aggression. The delivery has been poor at times but I've seen Cabaye and Marv put in some great balls and no one attacks them with any sort of conviction. If we're fair, we've actually scored from two set pieces in our last time league games. Fulham saw a handball on the line and Mackems saw Cisse score.
  12. The local media appear to have turned on him a bit and by all accounts he was a arsey with them yesterday. Going to be tough to come back if they really go after him - a lot of our fans are easily influenced by what's in the chronicle!
  13. How many times does Hatem skin his man and stand the ball up to the back post with his right foot? Carroll will just peel off and dominate defences. Wing backs with Carroll and Cisse up front with Hatem in behind is the future.
  14. Let's hope he's back to play Lukaku. He's usually top class against strikers with loads of pace and power.
  15. Can't pass, can't shoot, is horrific positionally. If ever we lose against a decent side it's because he wasn't playing though. I'd accept 5m for him. Found out and offering nothing.
  16. We haven't actually sold anyone of any note since Carroll. Ba was unavoidable really. We agreed that clause because we didn't want to pay him excessive wages. its doubtful we would have signed him without the clause. Not overly concerned with losing players this summer. The Carroll deal works for us in that Llambias and Ashley now won't accept anything less than ridiculous fees.
  17. Exactly. And he still offers next to nothing going forward.
  18. Yup. Kicking off now. Re Newton, he seems to be outperforming Abeid up there in Scotland.
  19. Had a discussion with my mate last night about why were are so bad. We came to the conclusion that the team has no identity at all. We aren't a possesion side. We aren't a side that press hard and force mistakes. We don't play direct football where we get around a target man. We don't get the ball wide and cross it. We don't soak up pressure and counter attack, We actually have the players to play a number of those styles but I'm not sure Pardew has a clue how he wants us to play or how he would get us to play any of these styles.
  20. His record is ridiculously average and he was released by Sporting in the summer. Still he's young and my Dennis Wise scouting tells me he's quick and powerful.

They'll beat Chelsea. Chelsea have 3 games in 6 days.
  22. If you watch it, his leg doesn't bend the wrong way like in most of these horror challenges. Praying that its just tissue damage and he's got away with it.
  23. He's shit. Doing nothing currently.
  24. Back in the day, Tiote was perceived by opposition teams as a strength of ours. As we've upgraded Nolan, Barton, Lovenkrands etc with Cabaye, Sissokho, Gouffran etc, he's become a player that teams target as a weakness. Anji targeted him specifically last night with a plan of letting him get on the ball and then double pressing him. It almost worked like a treat on 3 occasions in our half. I honestly think we may be outgrowing Tiote. Because we're so capable in other areas, teams are letting him have the ball more than ever and his inadequacies are being highlighted more than ever.
