Well done Alan, a new low. Really finding it hard to stick to my guns and support him for another season. As it stands, the best thing to happen is to see out this season and replace him this summer.

Gutless, embarrassing, disgusting, horrendous, terrible, s****, crap, etc. The list of words to describe today is basically endless. A complete lack of passion and spirit today. The mackems, to their credit, were the better team and deserved the win more than us so I'll give them their time of day today. Didn't think things could ever get this low mind. Losing 3-0 at St James' Park to f***ing Sunderland hurts, it really hurts. The fatigue excuse can f*** off mind, can't be having that. No excuses today, absolutely none.

Yep and Pardew's normally pumped up for the Derby so I'm confident he'll say the right things to the lads tomorrow.
-
Just realised I'm bound to see the same scrawny mackem c***s in the pub tomorrow (they were there when we played them at the SOL). Yay.

Hmmm, starting to feel a bit nervous now, going to be a wreck when I wake up tomorrow.

The only reason people went (myself included) was to play pool otherwise it was an overpriced shithole.

Lesser of the two evils. I'd prefer Wigan's apathetic fanbase over Millwall's tragic overgrown schoolboy saddoes. A valid point. It wouldn't be a bad thing at all if Millwall just disappeared from the face of the Earth.

Fucking Wigan in the fucking FA Cup Final.

Would be nice to have Raylor on the bench tomorrow like

Feeling the same. I'm surprisingly calm at the moment which is rather unsettling.

He's going to get a hat trick tbh. Howay Papiss!

Basel to win please. Off to the bookies I go...

Now that I've had a day to reflect on this game, I can say that it was a great, brave effort in the end. We went out fighting and you can't ask anymore than that. Yes, the gameplan for the first half was a bit iffy but I can understand Pardew's thinking - by keeping it "tight" at 0-0 and making sure we didn't concede was maybe Pardew's way of frustrating Benfica's frontline (mind you we could have been easily out of the tie by half time considering Benfica were making all the chances, they are such a good team). We had such great fighting spirit in the second half and when we got that 1st goal, the momentum was very much with us - I thought we were actually going to do it but alas it wasn't to be. Credit to the players for giving that second half performance - passion and heart were very there. It's been a fun year in the Europa League and I hope we see European football again soon.

Fuck it, I still believe [/blindoptimism]

Twitter says Perch and Yanga-Mbiwa. The thing is though, Perch has been preferred to Williamson quite a bit since we signed Mapou (even as an option on the bench) - that speaks volumes (that and the "other guy" s***) so will definitely be a Perch-MYM partnership imo.
-
They basically epitomise what's wrong with British society/culture today. I think there's far bigger problems around than them, like. Very true but they still annoy me the fuck out of me.

Admittedly, I still have my worries about his long term fitness but in any case, welcome back Hatem He's going to be on the bench imo. He'll either come on at half time or the 60th minute mark if we're chasing a goal/still in the tie.

Argh! BURN IT WITH FIRE.

With every good news (the one about Ben Arfa), bad news has to come our way eh? I'm hopeful that because he's been described as being "doubtful" for tomorrow that it's nowt too serious. Knowing us though, Saylor will probably be out for the rest of the season. In the meantime, we need Perch to repeat his performance from the Liverpool game at home last season.

Fuck it, I believe!

Done and dusted.

Tonight just goes to show that anything can happen in football. I believe...

La retour de Ben Arfa me fait plaisir. Like I've said before though, hope his "old problem" has completely gone away. Would hate to think we're affecting his long term fitness...
