  1. Pretty sure Tiote out this week, if not another week or two. Keeping my fingers crossed on Colo and Ba. Was surprised Anita, Perch and Cisse played so much yesterday as they could all be needed tomorrow, although arguably we need them to get the result. Hope the game didn't take too much out of them. Think we'll lose, but narrowly and as a few have said probably to a dodgy decision. Got faith in them to give 100% and push Chelsea all the way. A point would be great and since we beat Spurs, then even a defeat wouldn't be the end of the world. Am going to enjoy this one. Nowt to lose
  2. Tiote will be fine, Pards is just resting him to make sure he's ready for Chelsea keep in mind 48 hrs after Atromitos we have to play Chelsea away we have to rest as much as possible. Usually i would want to see a stronger team but 48 hrs is ridiculous and forces our hand. Hmmm....not so sure about Tiote. I wouldn't assume he'll be fit for Sats. Agree with the previous poster about Anita not playing full game if any doubt. I guess we'll know from the selection tomorrow. Same goes with Colo and Perchy.
  3. Krul? Because he's a better keeper? Not from what i've seen. Don't think the club see any difference between them. They were taking turns in the reserves before Forster went to Norwich.
  4. Would love that Burnley shirt to be a sign of what ours will be like. Like the collar and the simplicity of it. Burnley's current shirt is one of my favourites this season. In the other shirt thread someone mentioned the stripes going over the shoulder....a shirt with similar stipe width to the iconic mid-nineties grandad shirt, over the shoulder stirpes, and just simple - that'd be perfect in my opinion. I'd go with something similar to the third (Euro) kit 5 or 6 years back for the away shirt...plain yellow shirt with black trim, black shorts and white socks. Either that or something similar to the Argentina-like shirt we had the year before last. Make Jonas and Colo feel at home at least....
  5. If 46,000 are sold already before on the day sales then I reckon it'll sell out... I hope it does as well. Blow other clubs out the water for Championship attendances and give the lads full backing in our last push for Promotion... I've heard it's not quite that many and they are expecting around 45k, but they may have sold more over the weekend?
  6. I'm the same, the alternative is playing Best up front and that doesn't make me feel much more confident. Ranger up front is surely the better option? Gives him some more first team experience and he shows alot more interest and ability than Best. Mind you, unfortunately that's probably third in Hughton's list of options.
  7. As the others have said...I think his recent injury has caught up with him, although fair play to him for playing through it till now. I can see why he was an ever present at Depor in his last season.
  8. ................................Harper Simpson......Williamson....Hall......Van Aanholt .............................Smith/Butt Routledge............Nolan..........Gutierrez ...............Best..................Carroll........ Am pretty sure about the back four and I think Best will start. Guessing on the rest.
  9. I don't think he would still be doing it now.
  10. I'm unhappy. Think that although he has a bit to learn he was starting to get the club in order. I think Hughton is playing Butt as he's too scared to drop him - you wouldn't have got that with Shearer. Hughton has got lucky in that the players have pulled together and shown some spirit...he does have something to do with that but ultimately he's limited and I'm starting to worry about a lot of his decisions.
  11. Jonas travelled but was still feeling the effects of the knock on Wednesday. Personally I would have started with Ranger up front in a 4-4-2 - Butt shouldn't be anywhere near the team but Hughton keeps picking him, paticularly away from home. I mentioned that this was likely in the pre-match thread and the only thing I can think of is that Butt has some compromising picture of Hughton (possibly with Bridge's ex as that seems the current trend). Certainly at half-time, bearing in mind we had the extra man, Butt should have been subbed-off to go 4-4-2. Why did Hughton wait until the hour mark, and even then it was Smith who he subbed? An injury to Smith maybe? Another gripe of mind towards Hughton, is that at the start of the season Smith was sitting on the toes of Coloccini and Taylor, and teams couldn't get to the back four. We looked so comfortable. Now Smith is playing higher up the park and teams are just passing it around him, Nolan and Butt. Why did we change it??
  12. Think he will start. It's Jonas I'm more worried about as I think he's still carrying that knock from Wednesday. Guthrie left side just isn't the same.
  13. Swap Guthrie out for Butt and that's just about there. Guthrie back in on the left if Jonas doesn't make it. Just guessing like but I think Hughton likes to play Butt away from home...God knows why???
  14. With them on a 6 game unbeaten run and having got a good draw at Wolves yesterday, and with us being without both Taylors (let's hope Simpson makes it) I'll take a scrappy 1-0.
  15. He was definitely carrying a knock (ankle/foot) into Monday's game and I didn't expect to see him on the field, although I think this one is totally different and came about due to the freak Bednar clash. Why he was kept on after the incident I really don't know...can't have done him much good. Caulkin's article sounds correct to me, and would make more sense of the Williamson chase.
  16. Don't think he will come (not impossible but don't think it's likely). Chopra's release clause is something like 2.5 million and I think Hughton prefers other options (like Beckford).
  17. Complained of a sore knee. That's after he knew he wasn't in the starting eleven like...
  18. Not sure..think it may be tactical and we'll see him on the bench. Personally I think with Carroll upfront and a decent amount of height in the side having Ryan Taylor in just for set pieces is worth it. Maybe Hughton thinks the same?
  19. I'll go with: Harper Ryan Taylor Steven Taylor Coloccini Enrique Pancrate Smith Butt Jonas Nolan Carroll
  20. Carroll out aintr he? Yep...and with the team Hughton has picked I would go 6-1 Swansea before 6-1 us
  21. Went over on his ankle in training yesterday, but passed fit this morning.
  22. Yep - I think the back four is a given and am pretty sure about the front two. It's that final midfield place I'm not sure on...logic says Lovenkrands although Hughton's made some strange calls recently. Barton has been playing with the injury which explains a few of his performances recently. Good options for QPR providing we don't pick up any injuries/reds today.
  23. Reckon he'll start from the bench. Harper R.Taylor S.Taylor Coloccini Enrique Geremi Smith Butt Lovenkrands Nolan Carroll Harewood will start from the bench Geremi not available through illness I think. Therefore Ryan Taylor moved up to right midfield. Think he will start Carroll (passed a fitness this morning) with Ranger. That leaves Smith and Nolan in the middle with Butt vying with Lovenkrands for the final midfield spot. As it's left side I would hope Lovenkrands, but you never know with Hughton. Zurab right-back in place of Danny Simpson. Harewood probably on bench. Simpson and Jonas expected back for QPR, along with Guthrie (obviously). Barton out for a while (probably months).
