  1. Thanks Chris for everything, absolutely top job done here. Hold you head up high. I hope Mike Ashley either dies or gets to watch his family die. Absolute fool. Another stupid decision. The job done by Chris will long remembered by all of us. Thanks again wor Chris!
  2. f*** him, players like him, Michael Owen, Oba Martins, Beye, and every other c*** who thought they were bigger than the club. Look where they are all now. On benches. getting paid handsomely though, which is all c***s like that really care about I think Shay's move is different to the others mentioned. He moved to a club to be their first choice keeper, a club which will be challenging for trophies soon. The rest either left for more money or went to average clubs. Shay gave us some good years, a lot of them to be fair. He was always a top class keeper, and although he had no North East connections he loved the area, the club and the people. Still love the guy, but wouldn't take him back because it would be unfair on who we have. Shay has done absolutely nothing different to all the other players who are readily criticized for being mercenaries. Personally, I don't see the problem moving to City, they have money which is an obvious bonus, but that pretty much goes hand-in-hand with chances of winning trophies, so quite how you can separate the mercenaries from the ones who are there 'for the right reasons', is beyond me. The only ones that really seem like mercenaries are maybe Ade & Balotelli, but I'm sure you could make reasons for Balotelli to move other than money. Not so sure about Adebayor like. It does not go hand in hand to be fair, for how many years did we pay huge wages to players? We never stood a chance of winning anything. I don't like City but they do, yes money is great there but he moved to try and win something. And Shay was here a lot longer than the rest of the other players who left.

So we'll let the funky music do the talking..talking... I'll leave now.
  6. Answer: Lack of ability. He was a bad signing from day one. A waste of money. Bookmark this and let me eat my words happily at a later date if he does manage to score a bagful of goals.
  7. Aye was great, Enrique really was over the moon. Like a child at xmas, hero.
  8. He couldn't have looked happier after that final whistle, love him.
  9. Saw the lads on soccer Saturday talking about Jamie O'Hara to us, I'd be well chuffed with that..Loan or about 4m would suit me.
  10. Our squad was "pretty much intact"? We basically lost our entire strikerforce in Owen, Martins and Viduka, we lost arguably two of our best defenders in Beye and Bassong as well as losing Duff, who like it or not, was our most productive midfielder last season going by goals and assists (IIRC, not sure on that one). That is six first team players, or more than half a team, who were lost and not replaced. The only part we "managed" to keep somewhat intact was our s**** midfield, which we all would have said needed strengthening, even for this division, and that didn't happen either. I'd say we had every right to expect us to struggle with the team we had going into this season. We lost 3 players that were of any real importance to us (Martins, Beye and Bassong). Lovenkrands was a more important player then Owen and Viduka was finished, Duff was borderline and may have done well but we wouldn't have wanted him when we got back up. A lot of people thought we'd also lose Gutierrez, Coloccini, Taylor, Carroll, Enrique, Lovenkrands and Guthrie. Yeah well said. Thought it myself last summer when the clear out happened that we got rid of some big earners that were useless to us really. The 3 you said were decent players for us especially Beye and Bassong. I thought our squad depth would hit us, but Carroll has stepped up this year and then the new players since January have added a bit.
  11. I'll never bet on that worthless fucking Norwegian league again. Money wasted on it. Shite
  12. Newcastle -1. €50, returns €92
  13. As soon as I saw the line up I threw €50 on Newcastle -1 to return €92
  14. You should bet with 888 instead. Had to say it.
  15. Newcastle -1 and Stoke (draw no bet). 10 pays 50
  16. He's lucky so many people are around to help him, nearly any 'average' person would have nobody helping him at this stage. He'd be a lost cause. Hope he gets better but not looking likely anymore. More importantly hope he doesn't hurt someone else because of his actions.
  17. Same team except Love in for Best.... Would leave Colo another game even if fit, could do with a rest anyway.
