I'm afraid I can't see any scenario where Harvey Barnes wants to stay as second fiddle to Gordon on our bench. If a club offers him first team footy and offers us, something like, the fee we paid for him, he will leave IMO. The only caveat, is that if we do get CL footy next year, he can be offered more game time because of squad rotation. A player like Barnes shouldn't be sitting on the bench for us, when he could be a key member of another PL squad. BTW, I'm all for having a healthy squad of players but that's why you sign young players with potential or experienced players who are looking for their last rodeo. Barnes is older than Gordon and he's clearly second choice. There's not many sides in the PL that Harvey Barnes wouldn't start for, including some of the "big 6".

He's already played 3 games though? Intensity might be different but surely you have to get back in the sea at some point?

I'm still hopefully that he will become the player we thought he would. We know how meticulous Eddie is with new signings. At least we know Eddie won't give up on him, in fact he will be determined more than ever to make him into a player for us.

I don't think giving him 60 minutes is so much a risk of injury, because he's already had one U21 game and multiple behind closed doors games. The reason it's a risk is because if he's even 5% off full speed it could cost us in the game. The problem is, we still don't know whether Kelly is anywhere near a quality performance. The other option is to play Tino CB, but I really can't see that happening. Schar is only missing in two games, so if Botman was to come in, he could quickly be brought back out of the firing line when Schar returns. It won't say much about Howes confidence in Kelly if he plays Botman mind.

This game is all about who can defend better. Can we cope without Schar? Can they prevent our attack?

I think it's clear we have a long standing interest in DCL and I know there's plenty dont rate him on here but if we can get him for peanuts now or for free in the summer, I'd back Eddie Howe to make him a very useful back up to Isak.

Closer to 60. We paid 45 for Gordon who was way less of a sure thing, albeit younger. I think Mbuemo would be worth whatever money we bid for Guehi, and I think I speak for us all of us when I say that. I absolutely wouldn't rule out us going back in for Guehi, for a cheaper price.

What's Spurs likely line up?

Kyle Walker-Peters is an absolute no brainer IMO. If we have European football next year, we really need competent, versatile players who can step in. He could be cover to Hall and Livramento. I always liked him as a youngster and I think hes been really unfortunate to have played for shite teams and managers.

Just bring Kelly in for Schar and leave the rest of the team as it is. I know we have quite a few fixtures right now but we have the perfect fixture in Bromley to switch out the whole starting 11, that gives the players a 10 day break and a chance to recharge for a really generous group of fixtures to follow. Our current starting 11 don't like tired at all to me, in fact they look in the best shape they have been all season. I'd possibly bring Tino in for Trippier, just to deal with Spurs pace but we absolutely not be fucking about with a team who is currently firing on all cylinders.
