  1. Confirms what alot of us have suspected. Which players do you think he is talking about? N'Zogbia, Dyer, Luque, Baba, Bramble would be my guess.
  2. Can't see it being anything other than Sams appointment tbh. If it wasn't freddy would have tested the water through his anal mouthpeice before any other breaking news.
  3. Same as above. Parker was a victim of Roeders inability to tactically use his attributes in the best fashion. Even Souness managed that ffs. Parker is a defensive midfielder in my eyes and should be trained alongside Butt to show how it is done properly. Hopefully this will be job number two for big sam after he sorts out our defence.
  4. Haven't took the poll because i am caught up between two sections. Where as i believe our defence needs a complete re structure, i also think that our attack needs organised.
  5. Tevez was an illegal signing therefore he was not a good signing. Cracking player though. Signing of the season is McCarthy by a country mile, simply because of price and productivity. Closley followed by Berbatov then Lescott for me. Worst signing has to be Shevchenko because of the ridiculas price.
  6. Aye, noticed that last year. Spooky! Liverpool must be deportivo then.
  7. pity mate, not the best first game. better luck next time. What killed me wasn't that we lost, it was that the players had already completely lost the fans. The small Man City away section completely out-cheered the entirety of SJP for the whole game. You could hear a pin drop where me and my mate were sitting. Just a horrible, horrible year for the club, I suppose. you find that at most grounds these days ie the away fans outshout the home fans, because the away fans are the real diehards and part of going to away games is the whole day experience. Getting match day atmosphere at football grounds is a bit of a problem and needs addressing by the authorities, the solution IMO is allowing standing areas again. It's been a horrible last 2 years mate, hopefully the new manager will start an upturn in fortunes again I've only ever been to 3 away games and we never scored a goal in any of them but i loved every second of the experiance. Absolute belting time. I agree with regards to standing tears, would be great to see.
  8. Its not rare for youngsters to perform poorly if they don't think they have their managers backing. Especially after a 4 month injury ffs.
  9. Have second option on three season tickets, been to about 10 home games and 2 away.
  10. So what if N'Zogbia is a stereotypical up his own arse footballer. He's no different to Ronaldo, Drogba or half of the top players. The truth is good managers learn to deal with it and use that arrogance to their advantage and to the clubs advantage. For me this was just another one of Roeders flaws. It's been brimming for months and it's no suprise Zoggy's acting like this a few days after Roeder was sacked. Sam's perfect to handle him, thats if his heart isn't already set on another club........................ like spurs.
  11. if i said that i am not sayin that good football is a requiremtn, and is merely just a 'side effect' of the whole scenario doe that make it any bette?if i was to swap it around and say we play crap football get us consistenlty in the top 5 but no cup win, i'd defo prefer that to top 8 crap footy with a cup win. I just think it appeals to future managers to see a team playin beautiful football. more so than an ugly team. Good football is successfull football. Success is measured by points, positions and trophies. I don't care about scenarios, i just want points, positions and trophies. It doesn't matter how "boring" some people may think it is. When we have started winning games we can discuss the topic of entertainment. Which i assume is what you refer to as arsenals pass and move or man utds width play.
  12. I rate Erikkson as a manager but the best word to desribe his england time is stale. After a time they were playing boring football with players like gerrard, lampard and rooney. Imagine what someone like mourinho would have done with them. Like i say i rate Erikkson but wouldn't have him before Big Sam.
  13. After reading this page, i would have to agree with Ne5. It annoys me when people harp on about the next manager has to play "entertaining football", when we are not even playing football at the moment. I say win some football matches and gets some achievements before complining about luxuries such as entertainment. If we are scoring goals and winning games that'l do me.
  14. Im going to be positive. If he stays then we have a proven goalscorer. If he goes we probably have 10m+ to give to big sam when he arrives. I'd rather he stays but not really fussed TBH.
  15. 1. 5 minutes of added time in the sheff v wigan game 2. a penalty in that time 3. scored by an ex sheff utd player 4. tevez in the centre of controversy scores a goal that could save west ham 5. the goal was scored against the champions AND we still have 45 minutes left to play............. god i love football.
  16. That was me mate. Glad somone remembered because i didn't want to have to claim i said Dyer would score haha.
  17. Ameobi on the wing?! I've got the radio on now like but could have sworn they said that Ramage, Given and Carrol are all starting. Or maybe when they said patterson my mind blanked.
  18. It has to be said TBH. Why would a football club rest a player on the last day of the season, unless he has an injury? I don't think he's got an impending move to another club (valencia) simply because of the fact we have no manager. This all seems abit odd to me.
  19. SSN just said that Carrol is starting not patterson?
  20. Carragher means more to Liverpool fans than Gerrard man. 5m and crouch!
  21. Barton would improve our side dramatically.
