Was always just a supersub when he was at Palace

Onwards and upwards for Mike.........once a tosser always a tosser

I really can't understand why people are worried considering the way we are plunging into the transfer market. That £125 mill will be gone in no time
-
Henry to Villa leaves Bruce available to replace Rafa. Just the sort of crap move we would make. For the record I think that Bruce is a third rate manager who will guarantee relegation
-
Sad to say that if Rafa goes it will make very little difference. Yes, people will be gutted, seething at Ashley but they will still go to games and follow the team. It would be a dream come true that if Rafa went then nobody, and I mean nobody, turned up for the next game. Perhaps the players could refuse to play............................Oh dear, why does it always collapse around our ears
-
If I owned NUFC I'd rather get this guy on loan for another season rather than shell out 20 mil or whatever. We can use that money elsewhere
-
Just doesn't do enough off the ball for me. When his team lose possession he just doesn't close people down, it is a half hearted canter towards the guy in possession but doesn't actually pressure anyone. He rarely strays from the central line between the 2 penalty spots and that is not enough in the moder game

Mike is out in Russia now scouting for players. I would imagine the decent ones will be playing though and not in the pubs where Mike is looking

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Mitro and Rafa didn't see eye to eye. He didn't want to train or work the way Rafa wanted and used his own fitness coaches who Rafa reckoned were bulking him up rather than sharpening up. In training he was always 3rd for finishing, 3rd for speed, 3rd for fitness etc. and that was about the time Mitro was dropped down the pecking order. Rafa is looking for another Torres really, someone with pace who can pull defenders about and also finish. Mitro sadly (and I like the bloke) can't do any of that
-
I always think that Mitro fails to impress in the big games by trying too hard and often getting into trouble. I thought in Villas final run in and play offs he was very ordinary, almost cumbersome.

They will go for the dream team, Pardew & Carver, front foot football that will mesmerize Barcelona
-
Watching him today I don't think he's worth £20. Never saw him make 1 decent run all game. Good chance with a header from 6 yards out and put it 6 yards wide.

Motivating some of these multi millionaire players must be difficult. I always remember an interview with Sir Bobby, he was asked what had changed the most in his years in football. His reply was " Without doubt the money some of these players are getting, I mean how do you make a rich man sweat?" Thought it was brilliant and always sticks in my mind
-
And of course he spent most of his time sat on his arse laughing about how he had just fucked up another good move. That used to really annoy me
-
The NF fans love him. Read on their forum how they were desperate to get him permanently because of the difference he has made to their midfield
-
Friend of mine was a big PR man for Liverpool in the Shankley era. He always used to tell me that Bob Paisley was the coach and the manager, Shankley was just the front man and Mr Motivator. I always found it hard to believe at the time but when Paisley took over and what he achieved proved the point
-
Read what you will into his comments but I think this is the first time he has openly complimented the manager and the team and picking out our captain for praise
-
Fat Sam shouldn't be allowed to manage any team the thieving bast***
-
Mitro failed on the big stage yesterday when the pressure was on. Nothing changes
-
It was just a cheeky kick at Dawson in response to Dawson standing on him. No violence or intention to hurt anyone
-
That finish against Man City was class
-
New owners at Liverpool drove him out the door so no guarantees that wouldn't happen here.
-
Don't know why we have this thread. When have we ever done 'Realistic'
-
I think he has a great attitude and is getting better all of the time. No doubt his weaknesses will be being worked on by Rafa and the coaching staff
-
Tomasson was a really intelligent player and a perfect No 10. Unfortunately because of Shearers injury he was pushed into playing as a No 9 so we never really saw the best of him
