Maybe we'll get Dennis Wise back?
-
Just read that Viduka could be returning to us or the smoggies on a pay as you play deal
-
This allows Ashley to say " I have done everything possible to facilitate the takeover but unfortunately Barry could not get the backing needed. As a result I am now taking the club off the market to give some stability"
-
Another meaningless goal by Owen. How many big goals did he score for us to give us a 1-0 or score against the top teams? Not many I think. Wigan were already on their knees and wiped out when he came on making scoring a lot easier. The man's a greedy little shit

The profit of Sports Direct were down 91% after write downs on property etc. The company still made a profit and were reported as saying that they were happy with figures and that trading was 'solid' Ashley is a hard headed man at best. A friend of mine who has done buisness with Ashley in the past said to me 'I wouldn't say he was dishonest but I wouldn't trust him'

I posted this back in January!!!! 'Ive been thinking about this scenario for some weeks now and I just wonder. Ashley has the reputation of being a really hard headed ruthless buisness man who steamrollers his way through deals. Now, he has tried to sell the club and had he done so at his price of circa 4mil he could have stuck two fingers up to the geordie supporters saying 'I've made 200mil out of you lot'. Unfortunately for him that has not happened so he is left with the club. I just wonder if he is hard headed enough to run the club into the ground thinking 'I'll teach those geordie bastards not to tell me what to do' Okay, so he gets a 100mil less for the club but whats a 100mil to him. His Sports Direct have shown big increase in sales and profits despite the credit crunch, they also made £30mil on currency trading. It worries me that this man is self centred enough to do this and destroy our club for many years to come. If he comes up with big changes and big money this month then that may convince me otherwise but at the moment I don't see it happening '

In Redknapps first managerial spell at West Ham he bought a load of unheard of foreign players and spent a lot of money. He was probably one of the first to bring in a load of foreign players. Anyway, the whole lot turned out to be utter crap and they were pretty much all got rid of and he finished up buying another team of players. At the time he was heavily criticised for these foreign purchases.

3 more points and we are safe. Hull and the Smogs will not get any more points, I HOPE
-
The reason we are in this present predicament is down to Sam Allardyce. If he had delivered, or even shown signs of delivering all of this wouldn't have happened. There would have been no KK, no major upheavals, no trying to sell the club and we could probably have bought a couple of decent players with what all that has cost. It is because of his total failure that the reputation of this club has become so tarnished
-
Like I suggested in a post, he will sell all of our best players and use the money to repay his personal loans to the club. By the time we are relegated he will have recouped at least a 100 mil, reduced the wage bill by a massive amount and will sell the club for an amount which covers the balance of his investement. I was criticised for suggesting that relegation might be an attractive option to MA but I still stand by that. JFK has gone from spending 12mil to bringing in 4/5 players to 2 or 3 players then tonight.....'Finances are tight and we won't be rushed into signing anyone during the January transfer window' The writing is on the wall

I'ts at least 5 years since Lovenkrans was decent for Rangers, back in the days of Dick Advocat. Since then he has been on a steady decline. Probably trying to assemble our championship side

Maybe KK will go there?????
-
There is a possibility that Ashley has all the money he put into the club shown as preferential directors loans. He may just milk his money out and liquidate the club. I'm not sure we've seen the worst of this scenario yet
-
I spoke yesterday with a friend of mine who is the chairman of a premiership club. His interpretation of what has transpired is interesting. This man has had dealings with MA and describes him as someone, in my opinion, not to be trusted. He sees KKs resignation as a courageous move. He believes that KK loves and feels for the club and the fans and that he felt strongly that the direction of the club under Ashleys leadership was not good. He strongly believes that Keegan quit not through petulance as some have claimed but to expose Ashley and his plans. He said that he thought that this was Keegans way of trying to save the club. He said that in view of KKs financial position, i.e in need of money, it was a really courageous move on his part. With Ashleys Sports Direct empire suffering the way it is could cause a knock on effect to NUFC.
-
Problem is, Wise is so far up Ashleys arse you can only see the soles of his shoes, but if you were in his position, on £1mil a year you'd probably be happy to carry out the wishes of Mr Ashley
-
Yes it is, that was what he initially said his job was. Why in the hell it has spiralled into the current mess I fail to understand
-
Someone told me that Wise has brought in over 30 new players into the academy. Personally, I have never ever felt so pissed off with our club. I have supported them for best part of 60 years and for the first time ever I feel like I don't ever want to see them again. For this I blame Ashley alone, he is changing it from our club to his club. I know he owns it and can do what the hell he likes with it, and he will, but I just feel that something has been torn away from me.
-
exactly, and he can do this because he's such a good manager. if he was shit, would any of us give a fuck? would there be a 122 page thread on it in a day and a half? would anyone have been protesting outside the ground? (radgies or not). no, if he was crap the general consensus would have been, ok, next, and he'd be gone. its the fact that he's such a good manager, and that he's so right for nufc that he's able to stand up for his principles, and good on him i say. there's not enough people willing to put principles high on their list of importance these days, especially in football. And you are spot on pointing out that he is so right for the club. He is probably the only one in the board room who understands NUFC at all and if they have any brains they'll listen carefully to what he says
-
Keegan is in there with Asley fighting for what he believes is right for the club and the fans. If it was spitting dummies he would have gone. He is in there fighting for us because he cares about the club as much as we do.
-
Sacked for what? If anyone should be sacked it's that little shit Wise. A terrible appointment. Could you imagine him attracting players?
-
Sorry manorpark, I assumed you'd perhaps seen Jonas and Guthrie and Coloccini play for us, obviously you haven't
-
KK hoped for more players, so did MA and all the rest of them. Transfers can be difficult to conclude. Chelsea were signing the Brazilian guy but Man City got him. Has Scolari walked out? I think it's all a load of shite. KK & co are probably all in a meeting discussing what went right and what didn't. We've brought in 5 players and if the last 2 are as good as the previious 3 I'll be delighted. I'd rather have what we've got than lump £32 mil on one trophy signing like Man City have done.
-
How can he have a problem with his hamstring? He has never done anything to put a strain on it in all the years I've seen him.
-
I thougt Smith never put a foot wrong, his best game so far
