Or Roeder. I don't know how much stick people away from Newcastle are getting but I'm getting quite a bit. I do. I live in Birmingham and people think we are a joke at the minute I spend a bit of time near you and have had stick off Villa, Birmingham, Wolves, Derby, Man U and Liverpool fans, the worst though was a Sheff Wed fan taking the piss on Monday night in the pub. hope you give it back based on fact,o'neill set the league alight this year hasn't he,outspent us to get there aswell (i think). thats why what isn't a story at other clubs is headlines for us...cos our fans lap it up and go over the top on everything. i work with many boro fans and mackems, plus the usual glory hunting mix,all i need to do is stand back and look at thesituation as a neutral, then argue on the facts Got Swansea fans taking the piss down here. Now that's embarrasing! -
Sylvain Distin is the in the top 4 centre halves outside the top 4 of the premiership. In the premiership. IMO. If that makes sense. (The other 3 are King, Yobo and Campbell, what order you wanna put em in is meh) Woodgate? Ben Haim? Bramble? Bastard. NSG beat me to it

Roeder was DESPERATE for Owen to score, just so he could say in his post match interview; "Glenn Roeder doesn't make excuses, but if Glenn Roeder had Michael Owen all season Newcastle would be much higher in the table." how about this..."glen roeder is a fighter and fighters don't quit. people forget this team that isn't mind. i expect us to come out fighting the same way i have battled my way back in life...no excuses...we need the extra half a million pounds" And although we don't like to talk about them, we have had a horrendous injury list, thats not an excuse, Glenn Roeder doesn't make excuses but whenever my big names have been fit we've, hmm actually played worse. hang on.... -

Can we still go Intertoto - Can someone clarify
Colos Short and Curlies replied to stozo's topic in Football
If we took the League Cup and FA Cup a bit more seriously that would put money in the coffers just the same. LC and FA cup are a bot of a lottery though, UEFA is pretty much a guaranteed £5m cos its so pish easy to get through the groups -

Colos Short and Curlies replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
You really want to watch Liverpool Chelsea? Its going to be the most boring game of football ever. lies. Ok, I'll give you that it would have been worse if Liverpool had come away at 1-1 or had won 1-0. Still going to be a really defensive game with Liverpool trying to play on the counter attack when Celsea play 10 behind the ball -
From the man himself.... Keegan rang him at the right time. He was all set to sign for ManU then Keegan got him before he had a chance to sign. We were also very well placed to be champions in 06/07 based on 05/06 and the signing of Shearer. Just never really happened that year

As good as Ricardo is playing this season, I thought he was pretty dodgy to begin with!

man utd have ferdinand and vidic. chelsea have terry and carvalhio, arsenal have toure and gallas. we have taylor and bramble Chelsea have also has Essien at CB for numerous games and will no doubt be going for one in the summer. The clubs you mentioned already have quality centre backs but still see him as a risk, we have nowhere near their quality so can't afford the risk. I dont agree with you because i believe woodgates too good a player to have as a sub and i cant see mourinho playin him before carvalhio or terry Woodgate, Terry, Cole, 'need a decent right back', Cech would probably conceed < 10 goals over a season Carvalhio is a better defender then Woodgate so i fail to see how the addition of Woodgate to the Chelsea squad will drastically improve them. If anything, woodgate is similiar to Terry in terms of style of play. A relativly fast striker will out pace the pair like theres no tomorrow. Carvalho is crap compared to Woodgate, and certainly isn't any faster, but then again you talking about defensive pace while you w*** over Dawson is beyond laughable. Dear God another slow one here. What im trying to say is that playing two similiar centre backs rarely works. Woodgate and Terry simply wouldnt work where as woodgate and Carvalhio is a much better option. Carvalhio crap compared to Woodgate?? keep dreaming loser. So now you are saying Woodgate is better than Terry? but not as good as King? Some people on here are simply retarded. If you do not get my last sentence then theres really no point. Of course I get what your trying to say, but I also get that it can be taken in more than one way. If you re-read all of the posts a logical conclusion is the you think Carvalho > Woodgate, Carvalho & Woodgate > Carvalho and Terry, therefore Woodgate > Terry You really are confused arent you. Me saying that Carvalho and Woodgate is a better defensive partnership then a Woodgate and Terry partnersip is purely based on styles of play (which ive explained countless times before). Carvalho >>> Terry >>> Woodgate if you still dont get it. Re-read the first sentance in my last reply and try to get that I got that you didn't mean what I put, but you can interpret it in more than one way. Christ on a bike!
