It's possible that this summer will see changes at City Arsenal (these 2 if City win the league) Chelsea Villa ManU Liverpool Bournemouth Palace And then further afield PSG Madrid That competition is strong for managers, but even worse will be looking for a new manager 6 weeks into next season. So we need either a big show of backing, triple locking down on Howe Ball or he needs to unveil his statue and leave at full time on the last game of the season
-
Lets not forget that Howe was an underwhelming choice as well, yes we had some fans who were 100% behind him when it was a race between him and Emery, but most wanted Emery first.
-
It’s likely to be Jose if Howe leaves this summer. Yes he is past his peak, but his mentality may be what the owners need to see, they are still learning how to run a club after all. He would also win a trophy within 2 years before it falls apart id rather Ancelotti and believe he would come after the World Cup. Xavi would be interesting but a real gamble, as would a Cesc. personally wouldn’t go for a current PL manager. there will be plenty of movement in managers this summer, and some big names will be available after the World Cup

One of the key reasons we qualified for the champions league and won the league cup last season. he has next season to turn it around for me
-
Can live with the top bit - other than I don't see what we are transitioning into, but today's back 5 were all signed by Howe so you can't use defending as an excuse for him.
-
Neither is decline though.
-
And? Should we give Murphy a new deal because he was part of the team that won at Wembley? The race is run unless we're bringing on a full new squad

Not the man to do it I'm afraid

We're mixing our comics here!

Have we ever had a player play with a mask on before?

Never mind the country, you'd definitely put both clubs in the 'dont really like spurs' camps so the fear of not getting out the stadium if they blew it would be enough

He'd score a boat load in Germany -
I'm having a moment here it explains the last bit, I don't recall KK moving to a DoF role with us ever, especially not after finishing third in 93/94

Of course he can be judged, I'd go as far as to say he (and every manger) should be judged each year. The wildly held view is that we (and he) have struggled with the number of games, but that is what we are aiming for season in, season out and we will not be a position to build a squad like City have. That's the gig. So you judge on that, with factors like the summer taken into account and then conclude that (a) it's not good enough and a change is needed, (b) nobody could have done a better job in the circumstances and he's safe no matter what for his contract, (c) it's not been at the level we expect to get to but it's still early and we expect to be back on the top 5 next season with another season of game volume in 27/28, we believe that there has been enough signs to suggest Howe will learn and grow from this year. He will need to demonstrate next year that this is correct. It's all judgment

On childhood games. Did half volleys count in heads and volleys? Obviously no setting yourself up allowed. Then Blasties against the loser?

FA singles or Doubles

Shame he signed a new contract, stick him in a top 6 team and Sesko won't be leading the line for Slovenia. Could have had him for under £10m last summer, give it another 2 years and it's a £50m-£60m fee

Is that the West Ham fans swearing?
-
Bournemouth next for Arsenal, with City at Chelsea. Then they meet. Not inconceivable that they're only 3 clear, having played a game more, when we meet. Pressure will be on and the team crumbling like your nans pudding.
-
Tell you what, the lols will be strong if Arsenal end up with nothing and City the treble this season
-
Fuck the tippy tappy or the playing it back and safe. Nice, fast and direct attacking. See what happens?
-
As long as we don't have to change from the magpies to the Penguins.
-
Tbf we didn't do this even in the KK years. Kelly was sold to find Cole who was sold and replaced by Sir Les who was then sold to pay for Shearer etc. It's more that (other that the Cole sale) we did it better by having the replacement in first.

Would replacing Iran put Italy in a better or worse group than if they had beaten Bosnia?

Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability

I cba to go back to what I worked out in August but under the PSR rules as they were we had plenty left in the Isak well to spend in January or in the summer. It was something like adding £40m amortisation to next year's accounts would be fine for next season and the one after that. As well as the profit you've got to consider to that the amortisation for Isak also drops out of the subsequent season calcs.
