  1. You can understand Howe putting him on ahead of Neave tonight but he's let his manager down big style with that lack of effort.
  2. Thought Burn was much worse when on the right side tonight. Definitely goes to show the difference for a left footer on particular playing wrong side. If he's fit then it's Thiaw and Botman for me for the rest of the season.
  3. On that when did the head injury exception to the 30 seconds get removed?
  4. It doesn't. It mentions being fouled before attempting to play the ball, and in this case the foul being the offence. Bit you can't foul when the play is dead so from a free kick the push cannot be penalised as a foul. If it was a cross from open play then Burn could not have been offside as it would be a free kick to Isis, but there's nothing to say if the ref could allow play to continue from the push without the offside being called
  5. I'm bookmarking the 22nd march. Could well be the weekend when West Ham overtake them looking at the fixture lists
  6. Wissa to Saudi, even if just to break even. Osula to Germany. That would give more headroom than anything we could get for Wolt, before you even start thinking about respective abilities and fit
  7. Pretty sure everyone would have taken 3 wins from the 4 away games. Now the run up to Arsenal gives us 7 league games that all winnable, if not easy and an on paper gimme in the champs league. Progress through one of the CL and FA cup would be nice.
  8. The ref should have brought the free kick back like they do for a corner
  9. Pope can and has saved shots like the first goal before, but when they are saved they are saves you don't expect your keeper to save. The top tier keepers probably save it once they get a hand to it, but it's not really a rick on Pope's side that it did go in
  10. There's nothing in the offside law, the bit in their just puts a foul ahead of the offside if a player is offside but fouled before they play the ball. You would go to whatever law says that a foul before a corner is taken is not a penalty but rather a whistle, little chat then retake the corner. So it's either a goal/penalty for the push or we retake the free kick. That's my arm chair interpretation, but I'm sure the boys in Stockley Park know better than me just reading the fucking rule book
  11. The wording isn't quite that, but it does say that a foul should be blown before the offside is given if the foul occurs before the player makes an attempt to play the ball. So yeah goal should have stood I also did not know that you can't be offside from a goal kick
  12. Luckily none of that City forward line have a history of filling their boots against us
  13. We all know that other than Ramsdale coming in for Pope it will be a full strength 11 on Tuesday with the usual 60 minute subs
  14. No where near that far on the spectrum but it will definitely help take the edge off as long as it's not a right bumming. Even better when we go to Arsenal and bring 3 points back
  15. Another goal for Vipotnik, 17 for the season Inc cup, 1 in 2.
  16. He would absolutely tear it up in Spain or Germany and his record in Europe this season may just tempt one of the big boys there to try and bring him in as a difference maker in Europe. I don't think he's worth it but a good world cup and we're possibly looking close to Isak money if that happens
  17. The £13 replica played like an absolute beauty as well.
  18. Need to get 3 up and then let Thiaw and Burn pick up a booking so they miss the second leg and not risk anything into the last 16
  19. Wrexham Vs Swansea 8pm on a Friday night for the USA audience. Could see them in the late kick off slot more than any other team if/when they get promoted
  20. Kinda linked to Mitchell’s comments on Beardsley, but also something i saw on Facebook - if you built an all star 11 from 00/01-05/06 and then 20/21-25/26 who would come out on top? could be premier league or world 11s.
  21. haven’t looked deep into the details but as PSR was full club costs (with exceptions depending on the standing of your club of course) and SCR is only looking a player costs (broadly) it is likely that overall the owners could still fund £30m a year losses and be compliant with SCR
  22. Can we stick Ginola and Ben Arfa in the fatties team?
