  1. Really? Can see him getting a move to a decent club but I don't think the cue will be long. They'll certainly want to pocket him
  2. This is what annoys me so much, he's a failed League 2 manager and we value his opinion more than the man in the dugout. It's stupid

    sunder↓and

They don't play us at all so there's no reason for them to change their manager
  4. Is that Ben Shepherd? Can't get that fucker off the telly
  5. After the stick he got at Chelsea despite doing pretty fucking well, he surely won't go through that again at a former rival

    PROMOTIONOMETER

It's really not. It's exciting because they're all different levels of shite, bar a couple of teams who have obviously gone on to get promotion. We played Alan Smith centre mid for 4 months and won the league ffs

    PROMOTIONOMETER

I don't doubt we'll have better individuals than that but it's all about who is in charge and what sort of a team they can blend. We were fairly turgid in the Championship pre-Christmas and got by on having better individuals, it was only once Routledge arrived we had a proper cohesive unit.
  8. Says it all about how bad Colback's finish was that a free shot from about 10 yards didn't go close enough to warrant being a highlight
  9. For the Spurs game to be a factor, we'll need to have won the next 2. Hopefully Spurs can't win the title, so put yourselves in their shoes: Resigned to 2nd, Euros to look forward to for most of the players, long hard season and a long trip up to Newcastle, who will be up for it and flying into everything (in theory). Only slight things to play for could be Kane looking for the golden boot, but hopefully they just have the day off
  10. That fucking Wednesday when they both play their games in hand is going to be a rough night
  11. If they'd lost, we'd have the same points and they'd still be about 6 goals better off on the GD. We're not going to overturn that goal difference, we still need to win the next 2 and hope they don't win their next 2 and the game in hand.
  12. Doesn't change a huge amount, goal difference isn't going to be a factor in our favour, so we still have to win the next 2 and see what the last week holds for us
  13. Ramsey and Giroud having a shit off in the first half hasn't helped. Got 1-0 mackems written all over it
  14. Man City were meant to be on at 12. Due to the CL game being on Tuesday, they moved to lunch time yesterday - hence why it was on Sky even though the lunch time games are usually on BT.
  15. I hate Marriner but he was ref when we won at Old Trafford for the first time in 30 years or something, so I'm taking this as a good omen
  16. I'm just not sure how he's ever going to fit in if he needs two in there with him, unless you're going to play him in the 10 position but there's half the squad who seem to prefer to play in that role.
  17. The hell is the censored word meant to be!?
  18. Considering he came with the reputation of being a bit of an arsehole he's grown up fast and, well, isn't an arsehole.
  19. So? So it's hardly worth getting excited about such a pedestrian performance. We were not good by any means. 3-0 flattered us but I was pleased to see us execute a game plan and show some discipline. It seemed to me that Rafa realised they were going to have the ball a lot, as they always do, so rather than run around kicking them getting dragged out of shape we invited them on and pressed them well. We gave nothing away all day, everybody stuck to their task and he picked a team that best suited his tactics rather than trying to get say Shelvey to cover the ground. Lascelles was exceptional and Townsend wasn't far behind, showed good work ethic which I hadn't really seen from him before. It wasn't a vintage performance by any means but I imagine we'll set up exactly the same on Tuesday. I'd say we were very compact and agree that Lascelles and Townsend did well but, let's not forget how much possession and how many chances they had before we got the second. This could, and possible should, have been very different. I think Mitrovic should have been on 10 minutes sooner just to try and stem the flow, the ball kept coming back at us a lot in the second half but when you're 19th in the league you're not going to win a game without giving up a couple of chances.

  21. Hopefully he's too injured to get raped by Montero again next week
  22. We're at pretty much a 9.9. Anybody clinging on to the last few remaining threads can at least point out that if the mackems lose tomorrow we're no worse off after this weekend, with 2 home games to come. We won't beat Swansea though, and that will be the final nail, though I suspect a Norwich win in the early kick off next Saturday would do the same job.
