  1. Kanji we are such an easy fix. It's so frustrating. Not saying that is what I want either, let me be clear, I look at the likes of Everton, Dortmund, Atletico etc - clubs who clearly don't have same cash as the other teams but through proper, infrastructure, scouting, youth policy, and an exciting galvanizing type manager who plays good football (EVE, BVB) or effective football (AM) and that's where I know and feel we could be. I want to be Newcastle United, the club who pushes for top 5 every season, the club with a maverick manager who plays great (or effective) football, one who get's the crowd, shows the same passion the fans have, and the players love to play for, one who takes guys like Remy Cabella or Hatem Ben Arfa and unleashes them on to the world...and hey, we may lose to Liverpool 4-2 at Anfield, but come to SJP - we'll be f***ing rocking and we'll put on a show and play them off the park for 3 points. Spot on, that's my feelings as well, if we aren't going to try and win things at least give us some exciting football to watch and like you say the league is so average we will finish mid table/top half anyway.
  2. Thomas Tuchel is meant to be a highly rated up and coming coach, would take someone like him, especially as he is currently available after a bust up with Mainz in the summer.

It doesn't stand up to scrutiny either. Our only home win in months came when we booed Pardew so much he couldn't leave his seat. yes the last one coincided with our last win and Anita is already quoted saying it didn't effect the players and Tiote was on the radio today saying players weren't effected against Southampton either.

i don't think he will like it.
  5. i wonder if Pardew will show his face at SJP tonight to watch the reserve side play??

He changed it to satisfy Ba instead of what worked for the team. Cisse on the wing ffs This. It was all so Ba could play up front, even though everyone could see that was only so he could engineer a move away. Pardew shot himself in both feet there. Idiot. Ruined a good system and lost Ba. Could also argue that he "lost" cisse as well cos he has barely looked the same player since being shunted out onto the right wing and had his confidence shot.
  7. The best thing about the Cardiff game was there was a excellent balance between supporting the team on the pitch and abusing the manager in the dugout, with Ashley getting stick as well. This is what is needed again this weekend oh and if anyone is still believing the rubbish Pardew is spouting about the abuse yesterday effecting the players then this is what Anita said after the Cardiff game last season... "The atmosphere wasn’t difficult for us, because we knew what we needed to do and just focused on that. “I think the opposition was scared as well by all the noise, so it was OK for us.”
  8. Difference being though Van Gaal and Mourinho can back it up with trophies galore and medals not just the occaisonal manager of the month award
  9. wish we were up against Lambert, Lallana and Rodriguez like last season....
  10. I think the only way we will get shot of him is making his life a misery and job untenable, give him dogs abuse like at Cardiff so he can't get out the dugout and he will have to quit. Don't think Ashley would sack him as he is probably doing the exact job that MA wants him to do at the moment.

    Peter Beardsley

I don't think there is anyone working for Newcastle United who has his or her tongue further up Ashley's hoop than Beardsley and from what I have seen at reserve and junior level I don't think he is much of a coach tbf, his main role from what I have seen is carrying the bibs and putting out the cones.
  12. the next 2 weeks are going to be full of pro Pardew propaganda to try and stop any protests against Hull. Especially with the added bonus (for the club) of a possible win at Southampton and the time until we play again at SJP, time for the anger to subside.
  13. The Hull game has to be a repeat of the Cardiff game last season, if he can't get out the dug out, he can't do his job, when he then makes Carver or Stone come out then they need to get pelters as well, if he won't be sacked we have to make his life so bad that he quits instead. In fact it needs to start with the away fans at Southampton as well, with a bit of luck the Saints fans will join in :-)
  14. These 2 could be well sick at the end of the season if Forest go up and we go down!
  15. is it possible that even if HBA doesn't leave today then when we announce of final squad list then Pardew could leave him off our 25 man squad which would mean even if Pardew was sacked/quit in next couple of weeks then the new manager wouldn't be able to play him (at least until Jan). would be a proper cunts trick but something Pardew would probably do just to show he is the boss
  16. can we not get the hopeless banner to the training ground for when David Craig next comes on, got to be an improvement on those annoying kids waving at the camera
  17. someone could book a room in the Sandman hotel (ask for a room facing the ground) and hang the banner out of the window!
  18. currently playing for the reserves against Barnsley and according to Skirgey on twitter has missed a pen, we were losing 3-2 according to Lee Ryder
  19. I still can't see why when we are playing 2 games in 2 days we just split the teams in half seniors and half kids, Pardew came out after the game saying he is taking the blame for playing two kids up front but he played 4 of his most experienced defenders today so will he play the kids at the back tomorrow. why not start Colo today and play one of Satka or Streete alongside him and then tomorrow bring start Williamson and Taylor before making changes in the 2nd half. Same with up front, start with Ayoze and Riviere today and then on Sunday play Gouffran and Armstrong. the whole set up, formation, tactics today were just a shambles but hardly a shock with Pardew as manager.
  20. Just reading the posts and I am gutted, I used to sit with John regularly at reserve games and I would certainly back up Benwell Lad and say he is up there as the loyalist most dedicated NUFC supporter there has ever been. There will be loads of fans who never miss games home and away but John would even go to watch the reserves play away and know that a couple of seasons ago him and his mate Alan went and watched every single reserve game home and away that season. I can't be sure but pretty sure you would have to go back to the 1960's to when John missed a first team competitive match
  21. i think it is a tricky start for Pardew, he's going into the season under massive pressure after losing the fans, unlikely we will win the first game and then we have games which most fans will think are winnable but away games at Villa, Southampton and Stoke aren't easy and if Palace and Hull continue they will give us a hard game at SJP and if we don't win then the pressure on AP cranks up further. He has to be a good bet to be 1st manager to lose his job, he could be gone by end of September/early Oct.
  22. presume everyone now has Coral accounts after the Brazil to wear yellow but they are offering 4-1 for Argentina to beat Bosnia for new customers.
  23. 5pm games on ITV are ok cos you can just put on ITV+1 when you get in from work, then when it finishes you are ready for the 8pm game to start and you don't have to put up with the garbage from Adrian Chiles!!

    Remy Cabella

after the international careers of the likes of HBA, Mbiwa, Anita et al have stalled since they came to NUFC under Pardew i am amazed someone like Cabella is thinking of joining us when he is on the brink of making his mark in the French squad. If i was him i would be telling my agent to try and get me a move somewhere else!
