Disagree. Merino and Shelvey is our best partnership in the midfield 2 imo. not sure i think we have looked a better team with Hayden & Merino in the middle. I will be quite happy to see those playing in the next couple of games, still not conviced Shelvey has the fitness levels to play 3 games in a week.

after signing Schlupp, Van Aanolt and with Zaha back i can't see Townsend staying at Palace, he'll want to leave for first team football if he thinks hes going to be on bench and they will want to recoup some of the money they have splashed out in this window, even if its only say a £3m loan fee.

There was no applause at Preston as no one could see the scoreboard so didn't realise the time! In a way that makes it worse, if the applause on the 17th minute meant that much you wouldn't need the scoreboard to tell you how many minutes we had played.

first time i have seen this lad play and thought he looked decent, was good for 60 mins but faded in the 2nd half. Plenty more to come from him and looks like we have a potentially top player in the making.

Newcastle United play in black and white stripes, until we start getting stripes on the front and the back then there should be a complete boycott. Last years strip was a joke, if you saw it from the back you would have no idea what team is was.
