yes Sissoko needs to be one of the midfield two and go box to box, use his strengths ie running power, although i would be happy with Dummett to stay at LB, done nothing wrong and in my opinion is better than Haidara anyway.

Payments for next season start this month, this season is paid for so it doesn't affect it. Loads will renew in the summer. probably although, while stating the obvious, it will all depend how we finish the season, if pardew resorts to hoofball and we get a few humpings then the current bad feeling isn't going to go away anytime soon.

Couldn't agree more. But he's only played out wide so he can track back and help out his fullback. which in the last few weeks he hasn't done, mainly due to being wrecked and culminating in not tracking Kolorov for man city's first goal. The annoying thing for me is the likes of Gouff and Sissoko are being picked out wide instead of HBA for there apparent "workrate" but after been ran into the ground by the manager now aren't doing that but still getting picked which now means we get less protection for the full back and even less end product in the final 3rd.

I am not for one minute doubting that we are facing a top top football team tomorrow but they haven't kept a clean sheet away from home since they came here in the league cup, since then after losing to the mackems, the likes of west brom, Fulham, west ham and Swansea while getting beat have scored 2 goals against them, while Southampton got a 1-1 draw as did Blackburn last week in the cup. None of those sides are exactly big teams but they probably had a go and the big question is will our manager have a go at them, probably not......

where was he today, recently played 2 reserve games and surely this was the perfect game for him, would offer more than Obertan and even Gouffran who has been running on empty for 3 games.

can't blame the lad for today, he was only on the pitch for ten minutes and hardly got a kick in that time.

Sporadic attacks at the beginning of the second half but we played like it was a meaningless friendly. Even when we were 1-2 down there wasn't much urgency. yes half hearted attacks, but as in last couple of games only 3 players were allowed to attack at any one time until the last few minutes when we tried to save the game. most of the tactics were give it to Hatem and hope he can do something.
