Was disappointed not to see Bigi given a chance. But he went with experience but tactics were clearly not spot on as we couldn't control the match for long periods. Anita and Tiote were being overrun, Ben Arfa was dropping too deep when we had possession and Sissoko and Gouffran weren't stretching them enough. We got the goal then we should have killed the game off but it was just the same and both teams couldn't get control which was poor. I want to see replay but looked like Eliot had a shocker to beat from there and then we got done off a corner which you could see was coming and they are a massive threat from them. Overall was shocking by Pardew and some horrendous individual performances. Just another flat FA cup performance which we've seen all too often down the years and it's horrible. Fair enough. On Bigi I'm not much of a fan personally I don't see anything in him which leads me to believe he's got anything other than average. Gouff and Moussa have looked tired for a couple of games now which is partly down to the amount of work Pardew asks them to do imo. Gouffran and Sissoko are probably the two players most in need of a rest yet both played today.

amazed he hasn't rotated a bit over the xmas period, especially when a couple of weeks ago he was saying how strong the squad was and had players knocking on his door about not playing. Surely yesterday was a chance to give a "fresh" Cisse a game, surely a better option than Shola. Sissoko and Gouff looked dead on there feet against Arsenal and one of them should have been left out for Hatem.

I think I would play HBA and Shola against Stoke, obviously Tiote now banned but would rest either Gouf or Sissoko before the Arsenal game.

i would hardly say they were solid down at White Hart Lane, we could quite easily have come away from there on the back of a 4 or 5 goal hiding.

That was through luck more than good defending! You could hardly say MYM and Willo were solid and tight against Spurs, on another day we'd have conceded 5 or 6 and everyone would be screaming for Colo to come back in the side!

no idea what our team is but Villa for some reason are always really strong at reserve team/youth level, pretty sire they have won the league a few times in recent years although due to numbers seem to switch before north and south league before the latest remodelling of the leagues.

Name me a squad that isn't overhyped in the premiership? At somepoint most of them get put somewhere above where they deserve and then finish. sunderland

they have some quality players in there squad but they aren't as good as people have been making out and are over hyped in the media, don't think we need to go there with anything to fear, we will be going as underdogs and should go there and give it a go without much pressure on us.

its ages since i have bought a chronicle, normally just read the NUFC bits online or at my mams but when did it go up to 60p!!?? i thought it was 25 or 30p :-)

possibly a cock up however that NUFC direct website is ran by sports direct, by the looks of things a NUFC supporter going online to buy something, thinking his money is going back into the club doesn't realise that it is actually going into sports directs coffers and not NUFC's.

Now is the golden opportunity to start asking the awkward questions that should already have been asked. where's that from? has anyone forwarded it to the papers, or tweeted it to the "journalists". i know True faith have been on this issue for a few weeks, possibly months and have been highlighting it, the likes of Caulkin are fully aware but as sports journos probably not willing to go digging in off field stuff, needs to be the work of a more mainstream journalist i think.
