Thinking about this, assuming we can afford Woltemade without breaking PSR, it strengthens our hand in negotiating with Liverpool. If Isak stays, Woltemade would work well in a partnership as the link man, and if Isak continues to refuse to play, well we have a top striker now, so we're no worse off than before. Liverpool have to pay what we want or we can have our cake and eat it.

Honestly, I would take so much personal joy out of all the Liverpool fans now excited about buying Isak, if we then just keep him regardless. I may be a petty man, but I could absolutely dine on their tears.
