I think it'll be: Krul Debuchy Yanga-Mbiwa Colocinni Santon Ben Arfa Sissoko Cabaye Marveux Remy Cisse Though that's harsh on Anita, and Pardew may start him instead of Cabaye and I think that assuming Jonas' fitness is up to scratch there's a good chance he'll start. There's also a fair chance Taylor will start ahead of Yanga-Mbiwa "to deal with Benteke". He'll inevitably fail but it's obviously a reasonably likely thing to happen.

With 4-4-2 seemingly being Pardew's choice of formation this year he seems to have Anita, Cabaye, Sissoko, Tiote, Gosling and maybe even Jonas ahead of him for the two central mid spots. He's really unlikely to get a game I think.

I take back what I said about us finally having a forward that can play as a second striker, Gouffran has always been capable but rarely preferred for whatever reason. Our squad options don't suit 4-4-2 but our strongest eleven is a pretty good fit for it, in my opinion. Pardew has shown he'll change it up when his hand is forced. Until that time, I'm looking forward to us playing two up top, I think we've found a good balance in the team's spine. He won't. It'll be Shola. And who's on the left wing?

I'm doing my usual cinema visit to avoid the nervous internet searching for any news. Every year I leave the film excited to see who we've signed and i'm always dissapointed. Part of me know's we won't sign anyone but I know i'll be excitedly searching.

Just not a winger. I think he is a useful squad player and if we want a creative player in the hole he's our best option but out wide we really need to sign someone if we're playing 4-4-2 or possibly even give Sammy a chance if we don't sign anyone.
