    Martins' Worth?

Actual worth? £10m. What i'd be happy to let him go for? £20m.
  2. James Murty Ferdinand Campbell Shorey Essien Scholes Fabregas C.Ronaldo Drogba van Persie

  4. I'd go with: Given Solano Taylor Bramble Edgar Dyer Butt Emre Milner Sibierski Martins Glenn will probaly play Parker, Carr & Duff though. Prediction: AZ Alkmaar 3-1 Newcastle United.

    Berbatov for Toon

quality of manager? - how many of that squad that you judge inferior to us are MJ's buys FFS That helps my point, doesn't it? A marginally inferior team that plays better football than ours, he's put together a good squad. Jol is the better manager in every department in my view, just an opinion.

Given > Robinson Babayaro < Lee Bramble < King Taylor > Dawson Solano = Chimbonda N'Zogbia > Malbranque Butt > Zokora Emre > Tanio/Ghaly Milner < Lennon Martins < Berbatov Owen > Keane/Defoe Newcastle 6 - 4 Tottenham. ...Is how i see it, shame about the huge difference in squad depth and quality of mananger.
  7. SWP was comically poor, he didn't do one good thing all game. Chelsea will be lucky if they see £5m for him. Another good tie, has it been decided which replay BBC will show?
  8. In the last couple of games perhaps, certainly not overall. Personally, i would try and do everything to keep him unless they offered ridiculous money. We're currently struggling to find one top-6-standard central defender to play alongside him, are we really going to find two for just £6-7m?
  9. I'm not so sure. He's bound to be tempted by regular Champions League football, challenging for domestic trophies and probaly more than tripling his weekly wage. And you can never say 'we won't sell him' when Chelsea are involved, we'd probaly accept less than you think.

    El Clásico

Second half's been shite. Not particularly. Real have put together a lot of good passing moves.

This has been a great game so far.

harsh....but true Harsh? It was generous to call it a sideways step.

    Luis van Gaal

You think Glenn is the better manager, then?
  14. He's been playing at the highest level for 4-5 years now, if he was capable of ironing out the flaws in his game i imagine he would have done so already. He is an explosive player, if a little inconsistent, but i don't see him improving dramatically from here. Yet, he's still only 22, in his first season in a new country, playing for an injury ravaged squad with an inadequate manager. On top of that he's had to deal with some of our fans who are all too happy to write someone off quickly. You never fail to worry me with your pessimism. I think he's been brilliant. He's already scoring regularly in the Premiership and in Europe, i just think the flaws in his game are part of him rather than something he'll improve on.

  16. I enjoy watching Fabregas and Arsenal in general, at their best.
  17. I predict: Bayern Munich vs. Roma Liverpool vs. Valencia

    Nicky Butt

I don't think they're forming a decent partnership at all, one of them needs to be dropped for Emre and it simply can't be Butt. He was my vote for man of the match last night, excellent for 90 minutes and quite obviously in a different class to the captain. I just hope Roeder is capable of dropping Parker, bringing Emre on for Duff suggests he isn't.
  19. Fine. I agree with Gejon though, this felt like a loss and i don't see us getting to the last 8.
  20. Getting beaten 2-0 away from home by a better team and mananger isn't exactly unimaginable. Infact, I'd have AZ as slight favourites. i think we are a better team to be honest, its just that most of our players underperform can't believe that is up for debate tbh I disagree completely. We have a very poor 'team' and if it wasn't for the quality of our individual players, we'd be in a relegation battle. Ah i can't be fucked with this. Whatever mate. Beat one of the top teams in Europe at the moment 4-2 and we're still abnormally shit. Suit yourself pal. What.

  23. That's rather generous to Parker. Butt was outstanding throughout in my opinion, man of the match.
