  1. Harper's performance has been far from laughable, and it would be idiotic to think so. Bar his error at Liverpool (that effectively meant nowt anyway, we were never going to equalise), he's done a decent job in-between the sticks while Given has been away. Some of the saves he has pulled off have been quality, Given-esque at times. He hasn't been mindblowing, but he's done a tidy job while Shay's been out, and i'd still be surprised if there are a huge amount of Number 2s in this division that are better than Harper...
  2. Given Taylor --- Moore --- Ramage --- Babayaro Milner --- Parker --- Emre --- Duff Rossi --- Sibierski Subs: Harper, Carr, N'Zogbia, Dyer, Martins If Given isn't fully fit, then i've got no qualms in keeping Steve Harper in the team. You can't help but feel a little bit harsh to drop him from the side after his heroics the other night, and despite his cock-up against Liverpool, i think hew's done bloody damn well for us. Still, Given is Given - a world class goalkeeper. At the back, Taylor and Ramage have both got to play, wherever they may be. They need the experience because they will turn into good players, and plus, on their day they're our two best defenders. I'm sick of seeing Carr and his indecisiveness in the team, and i think it's good for us to have a defensive right-back - Taylor fits the bill well there. I'm hesitant to play Babayaro, but Duff (our only other capable left-back) had a great game against Watford and he's got to continue on the left. Same midfield as Watford. Parker's hopefully coming back to form after a bit of a blip on performances, and i just think Milner is so dangerous going forward, despite the fact that his crossing isn't brilliant. We all know he is capable of crossing, it just happens once in a blue moon. Bringind Dyer and Zoggy on with half an hour to go would be a deadly substitution, whatever the scoreline. Dyer has to play some part. Rossi and Sibi upfront because they're both playing well in my opinion, even though we've not seen a huge amount of Rossi's best bits since Portsmouth. Still, he hasn't been played with another striker since then, apart from at Watford. Martins will hopefully get on at some point. However, Roeder will play a different team, and probably start Nobby instead of Milner, and drop Taylor for Carr. Man City 1-1 Newcastle United Rossi
  3. John? Umm... can be lightning at times. At other times, can be totally invisible. Every single one of our strikers are like that. No thanks.

  5. Get the fuck in!!! Spurs are at home aren't they?
  6. Aye. Still, i'll be watching closesly as they run out on Saturday.
  7. Certainly what it looked like at the time...
  8. I don't believe it. I turn the TV off... Liverpool score within a minute.
  9. God the Brum-Pool game is boring.
  10. I'm with Leazes. I see Nobby as an all-time hero. A clut hero, if you will. On his day, even now, he's one of the most clever players around - and some of the passes that he has played down the years have been sublime. There used to be (this is including last season) no other player who could play a defense-splitting pass like Nobby. And plus he's such a great guy who puts his heart and soul into the club. One of my all-time favourites!
  11. Ramage and Taylor has the potential to be a cracking partnership at the back there.

    Exactly!!! Boils my blood.
  13. Thing is... i didn't watch it - and i didn't listen to it until the penalty shootout, so my immediate impression was that they did. Considering the guy was saying "Watford vs Newcastle" at teh same time, i kinda jumped to that conclusion. Like i say - sorry. Pedant.

Wahey - 10 mins in... adverts!!! :wullie:
  15. They didn't. What was that free-kick that went in then? :? No idea. Watford didn't score a direct free-kick tonight. Well i'm sorry. Christ. You complained about something that didn't happen! :? They showed a clip of Watford scoring a goal...? I'm not bothering to argue over something so stupid.

  19. I hate it how ITV Show the goals on the build-up to the show - in the opening titles. Just annoys me. :x
  20. Like i said ealier, we'll get less than a minute's worth of highlights. As will the 6-goal thriller at Chesterfield. Southend-Man Utd will take up 80% of the programme. Sickening.
  21. I'm gonna reserve my opinion until after tomorrow. When I see whether Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are through, then we'll know where we stand. Yeah. Agreed.
  22. I think your kidding yourself mate. We suck and you know we do,makes me sick to the pit of my stomach to see such a clueless pleb managing our club, show me a positive factor of Roeders management please. Hence... if we buck our ideas up. We won't win it, but we're morew than capabke of doing so. After all, we are the only Premiership team who keep playing our 'best' team (according to Roeder anyway  ).
