  1. Looked less than that... just proves the enormity of the stadium.
  2. Made everything look easy tonight, did the guy. Possibly my man of the match. Looks a very astute signing.
  3. Got to say - i thought the Ultras were absolutely brilliant tonight. Like i've said elsewhere, i've got little to compare it to, but i thought they were great. I was in that South East corner (directly above the corner flag, i'm hoping i got on TV ), and they generated a great atmosphere.
  4. Aye true. Meh, i don't care what people think. Third time i've ever been to St James' Park and the first time in nearly four years. I loved it.
  5. Aw man. I'm on cloud nine. What an absolutely fantastic night. Haven't managed to get the smile on my face since the end of the game; it's been fabulous. And i couldn't have picked any two players that i wanted more to score - superb! I thought the atmosphere was great for 30k! Alright, i haven't got much to compare it to, but i was near the Ultras and it was great to be there. Brilliant. Loved every second.
  6. Setting off for the train in about ten minutes! Practically babbing myself. I'm wearing my Lishman shirt so for those who want to caress me, i'd rather there be a formal cue. Thanks.
  7. He did. I wouldn't complain too much if we got Johnson and Faye. But i think the right-back that we get in will probably be another cheapish foreigner, probably that we've never heard of - just to continue the trend.
  8. Would be good to see Troisi at some point perhaps...
  9. The team i'd like and expect to see, but for the obvious Cacapa/Taylor switch.
  10. Nobby, and you'd think that Geremi would probably have a basic understanding of the language aswell.

Which one, out of interest? The one with Shearer's belter as opposed to the one with Hasselbaink's world class own goal? Personally I'd go for the 7-1 against the pretentious twats in 96. The Shearer one. My favourite ever goal.

Was that where MacDonald scored that utterly insane looping goal on the turn from the corner of the box?

I haven't seen many great matches personally. Not at the time, anyway. I've seen various videos. Probably lump for Newcastle 2-1 Chelsea.
  14. Sure it'll have been done before but what the hey? What's your favourite ever football match? Ever. For whatever reason.

He's playing left-back though in all fairness, can't really expect him to be doing a whole lot more going forward. Number of times I've seen him beat a man but because it's generally the RW of the other team it's not getting him into a telling position, as there's still another line of defence to be beaten. Once he's in a more advanced role he'll be in much better position to do something when he does beat his man, which he'll do frequently. Epitomised his Villa performance. Beat his first man, then lost his way when he had to run on another 20 yards/2 players than usual. Can't wait to see him back at left-wing.
  16. Wenger's said that he can go if he wants, on several occassions. I'd take him, but only on loan with an option-to-buy clause. I don't rate him that highly at the moment but the potential's there and he might do well... It's not a bad option. Hoyte on loan is a more attractive offer than Johnson for £3/4m.

In the same bracket as Ronaldo and Lampard then.
