  5. Witsel scored a nice goal for Belgium....some seriously fking talented players. Hope they can get their act together and play well as a team though. And just saw Miroslav Klose scored yet again for Germany......never rated him that highly tbh but you can't complain at his goal record for Germany....59 goals in 106 games ffs...
  6. can give Shefki 35 million upfront as a sign-on fee.
  7. Asprilla: Dalglish destroyed United's title bid He told the Chronicle: “When Dalglish was at the club, one of his ideas was to sell a few players – and one of them was me. “After I showed my full potential Dalglish changed his mind and kept me. “But he sold Beardsley, Ginola and Ferdinand and a few others. “Who knows what would have happened if we’d have kept those three players.” Asprilla reckons that the side that Dalglish inherited from Kevin Keegan needed tinkering with and nothing more. He said: “I was sad to see Dalglish destroy the team – and our hopes of winning the league in the 97/98 season. “The team that Keegan built was designed to fight for the title. “The team was great. “We needed a new keeper and we got one in Shay Given but he didn’t even play him that much. “Maybe we needed new centre-backs but the offensive side of the team was fantastic.” Asprilla enjoyed a great bond with Keegan, even though the communication barrier caused plenty of problems. Ewerthon

Belletti did fine at Chelsea too....Doriva did his job (again, a defensive midfielder)....remember Emerson Thome? wasn't that bad though he played for the unwashed down the road. Was decent at Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday from what I remember but nowt spectacular.

    Ewerthon

Emerson did well at Boro actually in his performances, just he was unsettled and unsurprisngly didn't fancy living in smoggyland....who could blame him....it's a shithole. I think David Luiz will turn out to be a top signing....Ramires has been pretty s*** for Chelsea so far though.
  11. Geremi and Robert on a free now....there's our left and right wing sorted.....

It's ridiculous to call Gilberto Silva and Denilson "nothing players". Just because he doesn't seal dribble around the pitch all match does not mean he isn't doing anything. Composed, clean, and strong midfielders are an asset for anyone. Denilson is rubbish, though. I called Denilson a nothing player, you disagreed, but then went on to call him rubbish? Gilberto Silva was good for Arsenal, but he was a ridiculously limited footballer. I wasn;t saying they weren't an asset btw. I'm just saying, these are the Brazilians which have been generally imported into this country. You see it again with Sandro at Spurs. They are brought in for these dependable traits, rather than gambling on the more exotic Brazilian exports. Even the likes of Anderson have been transformed into this kind of midfielder since moving to England. hate the fact that the likes of Lucas and Anderson have had the flair coached out of them......they were nice attacking midfielders/playmakers at Gremio and Porto respectively and since moving here, been converted into British style defensive minded central midfielders.
  13. Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner says he deserves to be paid £50,000-a-week because he has to make a number of sacrifices to play, one of which is not being able to go skiing "If you ask me if I am one of the best strikers in the world, I say yes,” he added.. Romário

just read that here... what could have been....Shearer and Romario up front.... “After (Sir) Bobby Robson left PSV in 1999, he went to England and invited me to come along. I can’t remember the name of the club, but I remember I preferred to stay in Rio. “Rio is the place I feel fine. I think I would have have done just fine in England. Football is football and goal-scoring is needed everywhere.” http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/50160/Newcastle_United_Romario_reveals_Toon_army_snub.aspx?

That never happened! what about the other way around? didnt Gazza teach Mirandinha geordie?
  18. would rather see someone like Ewerton here who has a bit more quality about him. At least he knows where the back of the net judging by his record and the quality of teams he's played for. Would't surprise me though if our clubs knowledge is limited to only domestic/former PL players from the PFA website
  19. do you think Goran Pandev could be a realistic target? Not a regular with Inter and not getting very favorable reviews with Inter fans from what I've been reading. He's a top player though....and I guess on sky high wages. Wishful thinking more on my part though.
  20. probably a lot now. He just signed for a Russian club a couple days ago for.
  21. You'll get to see Kazim Kazim Richards He just swapped Fenerbache for hated rivals Galatasaray of all teams
  22. Still can't believe how cheap Inter got Pazzini for.....what a bargain. Why did Samp sell him so cheap? I know they included a player but still.... Though Juve missed out on him, Matri is looking good so far...just called up to the senior squad too.
  23. Anyone happen to be watching the South American U-20 tournament? Some cracking players there.....especially the Argentine Juan Iturbe (Porto)...been class all tournament and upstaging Neymar quite a bit
  24. not heard of him so had a look at Wiki. Can play right wing and as a forward according to that but he's 30 this year. Have you seen him play before?
