  1. But Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola said "My players are an example of professionalism and honesty." That goes for Dani Alves I suppose too Busquets is a dispicable little c*** http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/13265403.stm
  2. Wouldn't be averse to a cheeky bid for Lucas Biglia. Hope so too....very good player and would probably fancy a move to a bigger league having played there for 5 seasons now.
  3. heard Colo swapped shirts at half time with one of their players? Who was it?
  4. if only he knew how to head the ball and take free kicks
  5. Pablo Osvaldo of Espanyol.....I mentioned him a few weeks ago and looks like he`s getting interest from Spurs now.....I think he has the attributes to be a good player in the Prem league Any opinion of Lukas Podolski? I know his domestic record hasn`t been that great recently though (not always playing as a striker mind) but his record at international level is immense.....both are at small-ish clubs an could be realistic targets but in saying that, the latter does have the Shearer syndrome in that he`s happy to play only for his hometown club. Would prefer it if we don`t go for big 6`4 target man type of striker......but I can see us ending up with Carlton fucking Cole for ridiculous money.
  6. What's your opinion on Busquets? (Apart from being an absolute fanny with his play acting that is) For me, he's just a passable defensive midfielder who has been lucky to have played his entire life in the Barca system, and therefore fits in perfectly to their passing game. He'd be appalling anywhere else.

Busquets with another oscar winning performance last night.... hope someone actually smacks him in the face sometime to show what it really feels like. The usual suspects like Alves and Di Maria of course was at it again but that's expected unfortunately..... Bunch of fairies all of them.
  8. Rogerio Ceni the Sao Paulo goalkeeper has scored more goals than Nolan (and most midfielders) in his career
  9. would take him but would prefer more pace in the side especially in midfield. Just look at the more successful sides (as well as our side under SBR -Robert, Dyer, Jenas, Bellamy etc)....no coincidence those sides are the more successful overall.
  10. he's a very good player but overrated by many....certainly not worth the 40-50 million that's bandied about.

  12. Fking hell....parcel bombs now "Viable" parcel bombs have been sent to Celtic manager Neil Lennon and two high-profile fans of the Glasgow club, sources have told the BBC. Sources said the liquid-based devices, sent in the past month, appear to have been intended to "kill or maim". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-13129139
  13. Brucie's replacement lined up http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=586014
  14. Blackpool have the worst home record in the premier league...hoping that continues for at least another weekend.
  15. Doesnt go with the debt-free category. The team's identity will be revealed at a press conference on Thursday but ESPNsoccernet understands that the club in question are a mid-table, debt-free Primera Division side who have enjoyed some domestic success in recent seasons and have participated in European compeition. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/909155/la-liga-side-to-be-renamed-team-dubai-after-takeover?cc=4716
  16. He's not exactly an old man...he's 24 ffs
  17. Agree. They won't go down, though. 10. Schalke 29 10 7 12 33:34 37 11. W.Bremen 30 8 11 11 40:56 35 12. Köln 30 10 5 15 40:57 35 13. Kaisersl. 30 9 7 14 40:48 34 14. Stuttgart 30 9 6 15 52:55 33 15. Frankfurt 30 9 6 15 29:40 33 16. Wolfsburg 30 6 11 13 34:44 29 17. St.Pauli 29 8 5 16 32:51 29 18. Gladbach 30 7 5 18 43:64 26 Well, it doesn´t look too good for them with 4 games remaining. Their remaining fixtures aren´t that brutal though, games against sides in 9th-13th place of the table but they definitely have A LOT to do if they want to remain in the liga. Especially considering they´ve only got 3 points in their last 6 games, this weekend´s 2-2 draw against St. Pauli really hurt their chances. I'd happily take a couple of their players off their hands. Diego (I guess we have HBA for that position anyway ), Hasebe, Schäfer the left back. I know many German fans will not shed a tear to see them go down anyway, in much the same way, Bayer Leverkusen (plastic club funded by Bayer and VW respectively)
  18. aye, also played in Croatia and Brazil for Santos. Felt a bit sorry for him missing out on the 98 and 2002 world cup squads. Can't remember why he missed out in 98 in particular as he scored tons of goals to get them there.
  19. 100% agree. Not saying he's a bad player or anything. He's better than our current lot yes (not difficult), but I wouldn't say he's a big step up.
