At least they've got a decent team. Look at Stoke's spending compared to their players
-
Best just pulled out of the Ireland squad because of the birth of his son, didn't he? Should be fine for this then. If they are all fit, I'd probably go BACK 5 Tiote Guthrie Cabaye Ba Jonas Best

While I thought he did well in his cameo, Baggio has a point in that passage of play. http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/6209/skrmklippu.png At this point, if he plays it forward with his preferred left foot in the space behind Distin, Ba is almost certain to get there first (he already has his speed up, and as we see in the following frames, goes past Distin). Not that I really see the point in nitpicking in one passage of play, we won, and Ben Arfa made a decent cameo.

Just watched the game in full, thought he was excellent. He's always been a lower half PL CM for me, but he showed on Saturday (and against Stoke, tbf) that he's capable of more than that. His technique has always been decent, but it seems to have improved massively going off these showings. Then, of course, his fitness that has always been criticised seems better as well. Long may it continue, he's certainly proved that he's a very good back up CM after Tiote and Cabaye

Aye, came on to say that Ben Arfa got HAULED OFF after 70 minutes or whatever it was. Obviously has been very quiet when Larsson or Sessegnon has been HAULED OFF around the same time in their games

The pitch was water-logged, ball stopped in the grass as we passed it around... sucks to drop points like this, but it was the worst possible environment for us. Basically, you wouldn't have a chance against Stoke on a cold, rainy Wednesday night. Nice.

This thread is going to be fucking massive Reckon we'll lose 2-0 or 3-1, but it wouldn't be impossible for us to get a point either. Really no point in guessing the starting eleven now with so long to go before the game.
-
"We were so unlucky, why can't we ever get the wrong decisions to work in our favour?" Liverpool fan about their disallowed goal yesterday. Yes, he actually thought they were unlucky because they didn't get a wrongly allowed goal. Fucking pathetic, really hope we finish above these cretins.

We're actually a good side.
-
Cue someone calling Pardew an idiot for preferring Guthrie over Tiote.
-
After Monday, I don't see how anyone could want Stoke in the league.
-
Sunday night could realistically end up something like this if they drew... http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/7049/tableho.jpg Us second, Sunderland still in the shit...perfect.

Which side does Drenthe play on?
-
Could really do with him on Saturday, but at least it sounds like he'll be fit for City.
-
Can see Jonas being moved to the right for the Everton game now to help Simpson handle Baines and whoever plays on their left wing (Drenthe plays on the right, doesn't he?). Not a disaster, but injuries to first team players are never good. Terrific chance for Marveux to show us what he can do, and I'm happy that he will finally get his chance.

Yep, analysed that within seconds It took you seconds to analyse that? Are you sure you're not the cop from South Park? Running Some Tests
-
According to the article on the game in Swedish paper Aftonbladet, he's the first player to score a hat trick at the Britannia.
-
I really don't think one should underestimate the importance of (finally) having some real competition for the places. We've got three class players sitting on the bench, all just waiting for their chance, and every player in that starting eleven knows.

That's Ba in the spotlight, losing his religion

Shit, didn't know that about Gattuso, fucking love him. Dodgy as fuck shit for Cassano too, makes you shit yourself sometimes. Fucking shitloads of shitting swear words in that fucking post like. Hope he's okay.
